What’s up everyone?!! Hope it’s a good week so far.

Fast forward to 3 days down, being a tundra owner. i absolutely love it.
im so stoked and pissed at the same time. Should have bought one sooner lol!!!
    Anyways, here’s my question.
I have 2 large Golden Retrievers. trying to figure out the best way for travel in the back seat...Anyone have any advice?
I’ve always typically let them ride in the back seat but I’m looking for some sort of liner to keep all of the dog hair/ dander from getting every where.
Completely understand there will always be cleanup.

    Thanks for the help!!!

    Peace!

I got a cover off of Amazon for mine. Just slips over the back seat and anchors to the headrest.
Sorry don’t have a link but bet you can find it.

Duluth trading... go with the deluxe rear seat cover covers my CrewMax seat perfectly and can be a hammock style or just a cover that I can wrap under the seat. Combine it with some husky liners for the carpet and if keeps most the dog fur at bay.

I flip the sests up and place a fitted full size sheet over the backseats. Protects the seats and goves the dogs plenty of room.

I didnt have the sheet on in this pic, but both fit comfortably in the back with the seats up. Lab is 100lbs. IMG_20180512_204106749.jpg

My Costco carries one of these full seat covers for the back seat that you see on being linked to on Amazon but it’s only $19. amazing quality, might be worth a shot.

I have one of these for my DC, my wife has the same in her Highlander. Works great, gives them a stable platform for footing, keeps them out of the front, and allows me to still pack stuff in the rear footwells: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B076P9HT5K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I had the puppy in the cab for the first few months with harness & seat belt tether. It’s a good system. He’s big enough now to ride with the big dog in the bed under the shell now.

I agree with @Navi that the costco version of the back seat hammock is far superior to many of the options available on Amazon.

Enjoy the truck & good luck toting those pups in it.

Got the full weather tech rear liner and then got a waterproof camping blanket and wrapped the rear seats while folded in the up position. The rear seat stay spotless and dry and I just vacuum the rear once a week because my girl sheds like crazy. 773B7E31-BDFD-46DD-A701-18681AC91B2D.jpg

Is that Huskey or WeatherTech? Looks just like my WeatherTech, I went with it because the Huskey rear liners didn't go as far under the seats at least according to their pictures online. Have the huskeys up front though

I like this idea. My Tundra is supposed to arrive next week or the week after. The sales manager measured a similar one on the lot and it measure 39.5 inches from ground to seat top in the rear. That is a lot, even for a big dog to jump and mine is 10 years old. So the seat up option makes a lot of sense.

I don't think I'll ever get all the hair out of the back seat of my truck. The whole truck smells like dog ass too. I love my dog though. IMG_1719.jpg She goes out of her mind when she knows she's going for a ride.

There is another thread about this, check it out:
    https://www.tundras.com/threads/dogs-in-the-back-of-the-crew-max-ideas.32449/

I pulled the trigger on this cover from Amazon and so far I like it.

Tapiona XL Dog Seat Cover - Truck & SUV Extra Coverage Back Seat Cover - 63Wx94L - Large Pets Hammock - Heavy Duty, Waterproof, Nonslip, No Odor, Seat Anchors, Washable https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06W597YC7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_jbWiEbTR100HX

I was looking for one that hit the floor and worked with the seats folded up. My old boy Bruno just turned 13 so my main concern is getting him in and out (I have a ramp that gets him to floor level pretty easily) and keeping him stable and comfortable on the floor. Sadly I think his riding on the seats days are behind him.
Here’s some pictures of the cover using a few different seat configurations. The straps can be tightened but this was just an initial fitting.
Also I plan to add another strap or something to fold the side up better when I have the baby seat in the small seat behind passenger side.

I prefer kennels in the bed of the truck. Safer for the dogs and yourself. I don't wan't a couple of 70 lb fur missiles behind me if I get into an accident.
