    Welcome. I'm over in Alpharetta.

Truck looks great. How much lift you get out of that set-up? How you like working with Monster Customs?? I normally use Southern Off-Road in Alpharetta but open to finding a new shop.

Monster Customs is great. They do everything from new wheels & tires to full builds. They wired my fogs and rigid bar to a couple flush mounted switches next to my steering wheel. They'll be able to do whatever you are looking for. Let Josh know you were referred by the guy with the Icon Tundra build.

Find them on instagram and you'll probably see my truck on there soon.

It's probably 3 inches higher than the 285/55/20 that i was running. I went from a 33.2" diameter tire to a 35". Gotta really step up to get into the cab & I'm 6' 3".

I wish i had measured from ground to top of the wheel well beforehand to get an exact measurement for you guys.

Don’t have many before pics- but here’s a comparison.

I’ll do a photo shoot when the weather gets nice.

I have NFAB RKR rails with no steps. You basically have to do a pull-up to get in the back seat. I like the look, but zero functionality.

I can’t speak to exact numbers on lift height because I didn’t measure before. But I’m going to say 3 inches. Note I went from 32.3” tires to 35” tires. So more than one factor into the ride height.

Sounds great too with the BAMufflers 8” on there.

Short answer: Better ride quality at below-highway speeds. Slightly worse ride at 65mph plus.

    Long answer:
Anything non-highway speed is smooth & easy. There is a slight dip in the front when aggressively braking. Cruising around town is nice. Speed bumps are fun to plow over now. Potholes mean nothing. I feel extremely stable and honestly it’s almost like it’s easier and more fun to drive.

Highway speed 65mph+ feels different. I think I have longer braking distance now with the bigger tires. I am still getting used to highway speeds.

It rained the last few days. Going through pooled water at 45mph pulls the wheel to the side more with the wide tires.

I’d be happy to follow up on this later with my longer term opinion. It has only been one week since build.

Looks great! So no cab mount chop needed to fit those 35’s?

The shop trimmed my skid plate, took off plastic mud flaps behind the tires, and took off the front plastic mud flaps in the wheel well. I don’t think it was necessary to take off the front plastic mud flaps but there is no chance of rub now.

Mud made it’s way into my engine bay when I went thru 2ft deep puddles on the trail. I’m certain there would be less if I kept the mud flaps. Sprayed the engine bay to clean it when I went to the self serve car wash.

Why did you forego the resonator? Any drone? How do you like the bam overall? Nice build!

Horseshoe ridge rd - search for it on the alltrails mobile app.

The shop didn’t want to cut to install the resonator. They said it would rust. I said, whatever, let me drive it for a bit and see. There’s a mild drone. It doesn’t bother me. It sounds amazing when you throttle from a stop through first and second gear.

Your truck looks awesome. Do those RKR rails offer any sort of step when the door is open or are they tucked under pretty well? I'd like an alternative to side steps that i don't need to remove constantly

No- the RKR rails are tucked under and provide nothing for functionality. I guess they could help prevent the base of the door from getting bent if I bottom out. Note they do make them with steps on them for like $100 more.
