I did the online and pick up and they honored it for the 27f.
What all are you planning on running off the 31? It’s a lot of battery, size, weight is much more. I think you would have to extend your cables as well. A lot more stress on that front fender pinch welds. Unless your super overlandiculous, I would stick with a 27f or do dual 24fs. It all comes down to what you need and use it for. I got the 31 marine for the 4runner and it’s way over kill for what we use it for

Well, I'm slowly transitioning this to our "off the beaten path" camping rig and away from a DD. I refuse to use the term 'overlander'....it's just too pretentious. :)

The 31M is only 7 pounds more than the 27M and it's almost 40lbs lighter than two 24Ms. Two 24Ms would be good (redundancy and all) but the weight is MUCH more and there is the fit issue. The 31M is essentially the same size as the 27M only about an inch taller...cost is not much more than the 27M and much less than two 24Ms....decisions, decisions...

I ditched that oem tray holder. Added this metal one. Careful if anyone orders one. There's an identical plastic version.

Apparently there's no standard system for first gens and the group buy is only for the standard system. I didn't bother calling. I just got that info from the thread

Does it still have the 2 outward dots on the bottom that keep it from sliding? Those seem important.

Got the flex brake hose service performed today. All went well. Knocked out a few other items like cleaning up the inside of the wheels with wire brush and painting them. Put anti-seize on the rotor mating to wheel surface. Rust Reformed the dust shields and spindle arms etc. Finish Coated everything Gloss Black.

    Couple of observations:

    1) The braided brake lines do not make the truck stop quicker. The pedal has the same pressure as before. The pedal does have a more consistent feel now. In other words, it doesn’t have a slow at first to tailing hard pedal to stop the truck. Its the same pressure throughout the push. Truck still stops the same distances though.

    2) I had bleed my brakes pretty well and even double up on a lightening round a few weeks back. The brakes improved tremendously, as the old fluid was very dirty. Today during bleeding of the Proportioning Valve, some milky fluid came out. Maybe some cack was still trapped up in there or the newer fluid from prior bleeds did some cleaning actions?

    3) Discovered a tear in my front pass side caliper piston boot. This is probably the reason the prior bleed fluid was so bad on that side a few weeks ago. All the other piston rim look crusty. I think its time for WL13 upgrades.

I'm thinking about removing my fender flares and wanted to get opinions. I'd like a wider stance on my wheels, but I already have spacers and a 0 offset rim. I'd fill in the plug holes on the fender.

You get some adhesive metal plates with the mount. My phone has a molded case that I put the metal plate on but you could put it on the phone.

That’s a good point, never really thought about it. Now you’re going to make me look for a different place. When there really isn’t another good place.

I bet one or two of my calipers might be seized based on what I saw. I’ll test the theory when the new stuff comes in and I pull these old pads out. A couple pumps should tell the story.

Personally I like the flares, but they should be color matched as should your shell.

This person used little white dots to fill them. No clue what they are but I bet someone does.

From Wheelers. They are Power Stops.

I may have another set of Power Stops that was wrongly sent from another distributor after I cancelled the order and my money was returned. They still shipped it. Box came in today and I’ll contact them about it.

If they say keep it I’ll let them go for half price? Give me a few days.

Those would end up bugging the hell out of me, might be better to leave the flares on. Ha!
With that much tire stickn out might as well get some LT fenders.

Soo what brakes is he using? Gx460? The rotors are too shallow from what I can find
