2008 5.7 Force 68000 miles on it. I just bought it in Oct. Driving to work and several warning lights came on. Check engine light, a warning light next to the check engine was blinking blinking 4 Lo. I took it to the Toyota garage and they said it was a air intake valve and pump code. Said it was going to be 7-8 hrs labor and parts. About $2000.00. Is this a normal problem for this model?

Yes they can have thos problem I myself knock on wood haven't run into it yet. But I do know there is a solution. it's called a bypass kit it's around 250.00 most guys on here are doing them them selves. Others will help you out soon I'm sure pointing you in the right direction of where to order this bypass kit. Other than that I will look threw threads for it as well.

Yes get the Hewitt kit and be done with it. Mine was $190 and took 45 minutes to install.
