No problem. I'm sure it will be good information for anyone interested in doing this model. I love forums that give the most amount of info so that we are all capable of these DIY mods.

I looked up those numbers and they look to be just regular handles, not the keyless entry ones.

Great looking build so far! I can't wait to hear your impressions of the supercharger once it's installed.

I just tried them too and you are right.
The parts advisor said he was going to research it some more. I'll give him a couple of days and try him again.

Thank you. I look forward to it too but, by the sounds of the rumers, it could be a while before Magnuson gets their programming done.

I picked up the truck from the dealer yesterday. It's been so busy around here that I haven't had much time with the truck but I did get a couple pictures of the RW wheels.

The dealer was able to find me a black radio bezel but hasn't been able to find the steering wheel control bezels.

I also tried installing the AJT shift surround but one of the four bolt positions doesn't have anything to attach it to. I installed it with a dummy bolt for now but plan on addressing that later.

I just placed an order for @dirtydeeds TRD replacement exhaust system :spending: Very excited!
My wife said I could place the order after I sell my old Tacoma wheels :ballchain: I'm not selling them until tomorrow but I didn't want to wait until Monday to place the order...

I just received my TRD black tailpipe kit. Now I'm just waiting for the TRD replacement muffler from Dirty Deeds.

@InTheRough I really like the way the black dipped handle inserts turned out. I'm in the same boat not wanting to spend a ton of money to get replacements. Based on your pictures, I'm thinking I could probably tape around the inserts to do them rather than taking them off and having to re-glue them. What do you think?

Also, did you dip the Platinum badge too? It looks dark but I couldn't tell for sure. I was also thinking about doing that (or removing them) since they don't make an overlay.

I'm sure you could tape around and plastidip. My concern with doing such was filling the gap, between the handle and insert, with plastidip. As each day of my life goes by, I find myself being more of a perfectionist with my projects.
I did plastidip the Platinum badge because they don't make those in black. I de-badged my Tacoma and did custom bed decals but, for now, I'll be staying mostly 'stock'. I like the look of the TRD logos but I don't feel right putting TRD decal on a Platinum; non-TRD.
Once I am supercharged, I want to make a 'Supercharged Platinum' decal.

    Minor progress update.
I got my DirtyDeeds TRD Replacement installed at 1,500 miles; loving the growl. I'm having a hard time installing the resonators and have already contacted Keith about it. I can get the driver side lined up but at no angle am I able to get the passenger side installed.
I also just picked up a leer 100XQ with a broken window for a great price. It came with the basket and lights and I through on my old CVT awning. I'm pretty confident that I'm going to keep it black; possible try to get it matte finished.
I'm working on making a metal window insert to replace the broken window, for now, and making a custom windoor when I have time.

I wish. Unfortunately Magnuson hasn't released the H-Key programming still. Apparently they will be releasing the Tacoma before the Tundra.

    Another small update.

I've been hearing a lot of good things about the HikeIt X9 so I ordered one and it just came in the mail today. I put it in but haven't had a need to drive yet.

Due to 'self quarantine' I had a bit of time to work on sound deadening and take some measurements for a sub box.

I gutted the rest of the interior and got some more work done on the sound deadening.

To make up for the width of the fender flares I installed some Supreme Suspensions 1.5" 6061 wheel spacers.

The front bumper is the closest in clearance but still a good amount of space as is. If need be I can do some bumper spacers.

    20200402_192432.jpg

I was considering spending the money to buy the Bilstein 6112/5160 (~$1,600) and then upgrading to a more aggressive setup - such as Icon/Fox/King - but am seriously considering going straight for the 2.5 Kings (~$2,600). When I do replace my UCAs, I plan on getting the Icon billet UCA (~$1,300).
    The situation is this:
By a hair I may be able to afford the Kings but it would be some time before I could get the UCAs. I could easily afford the 6112/5160 and fairly quickly be able to afford the UCAs. Can I run the Kings on stock UCA (don't need 3")? Should I get the UCAs first then save for the Kings?

You could always do 2.5 fox and 2.0 rear for the time being. I knew I wanted 2.5 with tc uppers and the truck had a block in the rear so to save some money I did 2.0 in the rear till I saved did 2.5 bypass and leafs cause your truck will need leafs just an idea. But like I was told fox king icon pick a color can’t go wrong

Hey ya'll! Sorry for the silence. We've just been busy lately. No big updates on the build but I did order a FRAC kit and camera.
I didn't have enough to splurge on a nice lift kit so, for now, I spent some money on some sub gear. I have been working on the sub enclosure here and there but it still needs some work and wiring.

    20200608_190855.jpg

    20200615_152318.jpg
    20200615_195852.jpg

Unfortunately I have received no updates at all. I've even tried calling Magnuson but they aren't giving any info. I've decided that I don't like my money sitting in their account (basically paying interest on my own money) so I had them put the $8,000 towards the principal and cancelled the supercharger order. Once there is a tentative release date, I start gathering the funds to buy it again.

Which suspension set up did you go with?
I'm looking at Kings or BP51's. I don't want any significant lift just a level.

Sorry, that was a bit vague. I have not gotten suspension yet.
I couldn't afford the king's that I wanted to get, yet, but it's been too long not doing anything to the truck so I decided to use a bit of the funds on sub equipment. I'll resume funding the suspension again soon.

I went ahead and went with the Harrop 2650 since I was unable to get anything from Magnuson. It can run on the stock tune without any issue due to the new Toyotas having wide band o2 sensors (apparently). Running good for 1000 miles so far.

I've seen the Harrop and they don't seem like a terrible option. They were definitely thinking, designing a supercharger that could be upgraded once the coding is broken. I already have exhaust and plan to run ceramic headers as well as intake. I'm glad it is working out for you but, personally, I don't feel comfortable running a supercharger without the capability of tuning.
Besides my feelings about that topic, I am holding out for the Magnuson partly because it was designed for the Tundra along side Toyota in order to produce the TRD supercharger.
