Agree, but even with the not so great gas, we still love our GX. We’re eyeing the LX for the end of the year, with two growing kids the GX is past it’s capacity with all the sports gear and a third on the way that’ll add baby bags and a stroller.

I’m trying to hold out for another year to see if the next generation Sequoia is released, but I’ve also been waiting for 6 years so I’m not holding my breath anymore...

Wonder why they changed? I noticed the price just from 2 years ago is higher. Think I went through fleas bay and got it just under $300 around the Holidays. Had to wait 3 weeks for delivery though.

    Work in progress...
I got my latest one just before Christmas, 269.00 shipped from a vendor in TX. I have installed this bar on 3 of the Tundras I have built up in the past 4 years. In each instance, it has provided a huge stability increase and when combined with Bilsteins (on 2) or a full Monroe (Quick-Struts and rears), the ride has improved dramatically, a lot firmer. Price has increased from 229.00 (2016) to 269.00 (2019), but still well worth the money spent. The 4th truck had a TRD bar from previous owner. That suspension had been redone prior to my purchase, so I left it alone. Solid, not as firm as the others, still a little "floaty" on the highway, but a very comfortable ride.

Great coil packs if you guys ever need them. They are OEM Denso and half the cost of Toyota labeled Denso re-brands($$$). I replaced all 8 (preventative maintenance) as I had one go bad and 3 other develop cracks.

Do we have any HVAC experts here? Do you guys do anything to prolong the life of your units other than change the filter? I paid an AC guy to come out a few years ago and "service" my system. I watched as he worked. He complained about how a few things were installed and inspected everything. But I never saw him do any actual work to the unit.

My Amana system is coming up on 10 years old so I'm just curious if there is anything I can do to keep it running another 4-5 years.

Change filter MONTHLY! Clean the outdoor coil with water or chemical if it is packed with debris. Keep the area around the condenser clean and free of leaves and dirt(rocks/peoples will keep the dust down)
If it’s a split system with a condensate pump at the evap, pull the pump and clean it every year or so. Make sure any exposed line set is well insulated, and painted or covered. You can clean/inspect your indoor motor, clean the squirrel cage free of dirt buildup. Check capacitors and replace if out of spec. Pay attention to any abnormal noises from the fans or compressors. Check your flue pipes for no obstructions.

If you original headlight have oxidized and you are tired of restoring them - OEM Toyota headlight housings are a great upgrade, and they are not that expensive.

What FrenchToasty says. Keep things clean. Hosings/cleanings with water helps clear the airflow through the coils. I rinse mine down lightly twice a year. Do not bend the aluminum coil fins with water force. It also helps if your unit is in the shade for A/C mode.

Tip tricks during extremely hot weather is lightly mist your coils for better coiling when the unit is running. Another preventative maintenance trick tip is to keep your condensate line flowing well. You can shoot water down the pipe with a hose/gun in the opening or use compressed air. Once its clean pour a little bleach in the hole for prevent maintenance.

What ever you do, disconnect the outside breaker when working on your outside unit. Turn off the breaker at the panel when working on your inside unit.

You can snug your panel nuts at the breaker panel on all your breakers to keep the resistance flow down. This helps every thing in your home. Make sure the Main is Off. Do not touch the Main lugs!

I didn’t go to MIT so maybe watch a youtubes.

I've been changing the filter every 2 months. I supposed I can switch to monthly. I did clean the coil last year as well.

I might post a picture of my system later as you lost me on the parts in bold. I don't know much about these systems.

I change mine every 2 months, as well. Monthly in high use times. It really depends on how much your system works during the time frame. Also, some homes are dirtier than others. More people/pets in the home put off more dander. Leaky windows and crawl spaces suck outside dirt into the home.

We got lucky with my house. It's extremely energy efficient. We do have 2 dogs but even when I replace the filter every 2 months it's not that dirty(this time of the year). In the summer it obviously runs a lot more.

Here is the Grille I used. Price is still holding steady from last year. They have chrome which another member here has looks pretty cool. Wish they had a brushed Aluminum option which would look real nice. I think they run a BBQ grill business and make these on the side?

Since it's no-longer -50 I went out and washed the truck - first time since I bought it.

    SO . MUCH . MUD .

I'm only half done. I need a scraper to get more off the underside, LOL.

    Also, this stuff showed up!
    brakes1.jpg brakes2.jpg

Close-ups, looking like quality stuff here!
    brakes3.jpg brakes4.jpg

As an aside - I have *NO* idea how Rock Auto gets stuff to Canada so fast. I ordered this Sunday night. They processed the order YESTERDAY and the stuff showed up from the US of A at my door before 2pm the following day. And the total with express shipping, customs/brokerage, etc., still cost me less than buying it local.

Keep us posted on the drums as to noise. That’s the biggest issue I’ve ran into with aftermarket drums. All the ones I’ve tried have developed a rotational squeak when slowing down within a few thousand miles

Poor guy put a Magnafine transmission filter on probably after reading bad info on the internet from years past. Looks like he put it on backwards and it caused a problem. Why put one of these on in the first place when our transmissions have magnets and a screen to catch metal flecks already built in? Why restrict your flow with an inline filter?

The UZ is a great engine
hell it was rated one of the best engines of the whole 20th century (well the 1uz. but same engine family)

the 5vz has proven to be an amazing engine. And if my father continues driving my corolla like he does within a few years my corolla will be passing the 1 million mile mark.
