I'm thinking of buying a new Tundra Crewmax Sr5. My budget is 33K out the door price. I know I can get a 4.6 4x2 with no packages or add ons for around 31-32k otd. I wondering if anyone thinks I can get a 5.7 4x2 with no packages or adds on for 33k otd or even 4.6 TSS package for that much? Also I live in Dallas

Hmmmm... idk about 5.7 for that price...

Best bet is start shopping around for a few months if you're not in a rush. That's always the best way to buy, not be in a rush and wait for the deal to come to you.

I just signed papers for a CM 4x4 TRD OR 5.7 for $1000 under invoice and didn't took the 1.9% financing instead of the rebate. Even without the rebate it was 1k under invoice pricing.

For sure... Toyota will be flexible in deals with the 5.7 due to the fuel economy.

I know you stated you wanted a 17. Why not look for a low mileage used and get what you want?
    Just a thought.

You might be able to squeeze a brand new 2016 2WD with a 5.7 for around that. With the 17s out they're putting them on pretty good discounts. It won't be a 17, but still new.

Dang lol I guess if that's the case I'll just get the stripped 4.6 or consider a used 5.7 then

Got anything you can trade to get the financed price in your ballpark? Just a thought..... I haven't seen any 2017 5.7L Tundras in that price range.

For reference. I am hoping to get a 17' Crewmax SR5 5.7 4x4 w/ upgrade package for $36k before TTL for my ideal pricing. I'm in IL so sales tax alone will run me 2k+.

Haven't seen anything with that low of a price tag around here. Good luck man, hope you find what you're looking for. Awesome trucks.

Lowest I have seen is 38k. I am hoping the 18' refresh will help drive down the cost. I have family that works at a Toyota dealer so I can get one for roughly $1000 over invoice, but I may be able to get a better deal elsewhere. She doesn't have access to look up and see if what they say is invoice is actually invoice.

I gotcha. I still say I would look into getting a brand new 16. I know you can swing some pretty good deals on those right now. Unless you just have to have the 17. They're the same truck, different year. Haha

I think the 16's are about phased out at this point. I am not buying until at least May likely either.

Good luck with that man... not saying it's not possible... anything is possible I believe... but that's like 6gs under invoice.

Let us know if it happens!!

Go with a used one with low miles, I think you will be a winner that way......

As of right now I am getting truecar.com responses on CM 5.7 4x4 TRD-Offroad packages for $39k and see offers on cars.com (which probably include rebates) for $38k. I am hoping to at least do that.

I used the Costco Auto Buyer service and got my 2017 SR5 TRD Off Road Double Cab for $300 over invoice. Costco has a standard price of 300 over invoice for the Tundra. Might give them a call if you are a member.

That price is about 500 over invoice as built...

    Maybe the area you're in?

I think you are a little confused on dealer invoice vs. MSRP:

    http://www.car-buying-strategies.com/dealer-invoice/toyota-tundra-prices.html

Dealer invoice on the truck should be around 36k or so.

    2017 Tundra 4X4 SR5 5.7L V8 w/FFV CrewMax 5.6 foot box w/145.7 in. WB 381-hp, 5.7L V8 (8 cyl.) w/reg gas
    MSRP
    $38,470
    Invoice Price
    $35,584
    Destination Fee
    $1,195
    Holdback
    $769
    Dealer Cost
    $36,010

Saw someone posted about a 2018 refresh. Is there any truth to this ? I like the 2017 but if the 18 is worth the wait ...well then I'll wait.

Should be at the Chicago auto show. Shouldn't be major or anything maybe new headlights and other aesthetics.

    Stock for now!!!
With respect to invoice price, I found cars.com was helpful...you can go in and build exactly what you want and then see the MSRP and Invoice. Too high....well just go back and start over.......I bought my 2012 Taco this way and Cars.com invoice was to the penny what the dealership showed me.....Most dealerships will sell near invoice.....work them hard, walk away if you need to and check another dealer......knowing what the truck invoices for is crucial to get a deal.....I bought the Taco in San Antonio and Gulf States Toyota ran up the price a bit with the tint, running boards and a few other little things which caused the price to jump a bit.......I would not suggest you buy the extended warranty until the manufactures if a few months from being over....they seem to be more reasonable priced then as to the day you buy the truck.......
