Hmm. The only parts on the suspension not touched on my tundra are the leaf springs. Really wondering if I bother doing something with them or leave it as is... might try and add 1 Tacoma
Leaf to see if I can get .5” of lift out back to get a very slight take back.

 So the chef at my local "Cheers" bar just bought a 2019 Tundra, he had a white 2001 many years. So he comes out and sits down at the bar, start talkin about his truck and I swear these words came out of his mouth, " I LIKED MY OLD ONE BETTER" :bananadance:

I feel you. I've woken up twice to a "banned" page. Mistakenly called @Casper421 truck 2wd and said I'd have sex with it. There's more but I forgot. Btw, where is Casper? He hasn't been on in awhile. @Brown Bear don't you live by him?

Changed the radiator in my wife's gx460 last night. What a nightmare. Your supposed to remove the whole front bumper cover to access the bottom bolts holding it on.

Everytime I work on another vehicle I wish it was as easy as the tundra.

I've been thinking about getting a 460 for the wife in 4-5 years. Does yours have the huge Predator Grill or is it an earlier 460?

Casper posted right before his trip to Moab and then never posted again. I sent him a PM back in December to see if he was ok and he never responded. People lose interest and move on to new things. It happens. He posted on Instagram recently so I know he's alive.

Nice. I like that grill better but wife prefers Predator. I've been doing a lot of research on the 4.6L. While I know we all love the 4.7L, it seems like the 4.6L is a much nicer driving experience. People seem to love it. So when deciding between a GX460 and a GX470, I'm leaning towards the 460.

How do you guys like it? Are you running 87 octane? Ive heard they can hit 17-18mpg on the highway.

Don't they make a gx570? Or am I thinking the lx? I'm still trying to figure out how the models tie in. I.E. what models are related to each other. Like which lexus is the sequoia, how the land cruiser fits in all this. That kinda stuff.

    LX570 is the land cruiser
GX460 is built off a land cruiser (prado) we don't get in the states

LX top of the line (570= 5.7l)
GX just below the LX (460 = 4.6l)

    There's not a sequoia/trundra lexus variant.

So is the land cruiser bigger than the sequoia? I don't see many of em around here. I'd still love to have an older one.

No, Land cruisers are smaller by a decent amount. The Sequoia, imo, is like an American full size suv where the Land Cruiser still full-size, but more in line with a Japanese full-size if that makes sense.

I'm just about done with winter. I wanna start tinkering with my truck again. Not much fun working on it when it's packed full of ice and snow. I park in the garage, but the garage is unheated and The Woman's car is in there too. Which reminds me, she wants to mod her car a bit this year as well.

And the older GX470 was based off the 4Runner.

They definitely share same chassis but the GX470 is a Land Cruiser Prado 120 series. Taller, Full-time 4x4, higher-end interior, v8 4.7 etc

We like it so far. The 4.6 is a nice running v8. Very smooth and quiet. We are just running 87 even though Toyota says use higher octane. It doesn't get good mileage but we are all used to that and gas is cheap right now.

Not quite. Probably 3 more months though. Things will start really drying out towards the end of April.

At-least it's warming up. A positively balmy -16 right now, supposedly working its way to a high of 0... That'll feel like shorts/t-shirt weather, compared to what we've had ...

Still a mystery why this thing isn't working as I had hoped. I've done some Hand Model Himalayan Meditation today and let the anger go. Now only curiosity remains. I know the tool isn't broken or I couldn't get any vacuum. I even tried to grease one of the bleeder valves and that didn't work.

    More reflection is needed.

Can't even have (2), we only really get reliability haha.

And assuming your TX470 would have been a Lexus truck? If so, definitely. I really do love Lexus looks over Toyota for MOST things plus the used market sells for less than the Toyota equivalent most of the time!
