Find a local guy and have him build you some customs. Better quality and you keep a local business going. Plus, its custom. No shipping $. Win win!

Yeah all savings over buying a built bumper were lost. Had I known that I'd have just bought the Brute Force bumper. That or just let my amateur welder friend to the job

The gram. Notice the comments. I don't think they are producing them yet. But he mentioned it again later in another post and said they were coming.

Doesn't appear to have a hole for oil changes. I'd hate.to have to remove.it Everytime.

True but you could probably drill one and install a fumoto valve like I did. The Skid Row are really nice but I'm starting to realize I will never actually use them. I would have preferred something lighter like this to save on fuel economy. Recently you mentioned you've only been offorading once this year. Something to think about. I'm the same way so far. I thought I would go more but I also don't want to beat the shit out of my truck.

True. A lot of that has to do with work and not having time to travel to the good off road spots. But eventually I do plan to get a better job and move closer to those spots and buy a daily driver. So either way I'll need em eventually. If i don't buy skids this year maybe I'll buy jba long tube headers and DDI exhaust.

094EAF39-0483-4B82-8452-E089AB851F16.jpg As @FirstGenVol mentioned, fumoto, for sure!!! They are slow, but very easy and allow for an extra beer, no mess.
I took the double cab out for its first time, and sorta learned what it needs, and what it doesn’t, I didn’t hi center or scrape anything besides the bottom of the bumper and my pinch welds. I will also be looking at long tubes and exhaust first before skids. But I will be making sliders soon, just getting ideas for now.
Is Houston far away from anything cool?
We live 1+tops of super cool spots- to even cooler spots the further you go.

I'm about 3-5hrs drive from anywhere worth off roading. I've wanted a fumoto valve for.a.whike just never got around to it. Also an oil catch can for the PCV would be cool. The first time I went wheeling I had no armor.just.lift.and tires and I came down hard on my trans cross member. It actually bent and torn some of the metal. That's why I want skids. That could've been my pan or transfer case etc

Whoops I didn't see that. I'll remove it from the front page. Good eye.

Been eyeballing that Addicted rear bumper.. I kind of like it, but I can't tell if there's enough room to actually step up on the bumper or add backup lights.

Yeah, I'm not keen on that either. Figure I can just mount it on the door of my canopy though.

I click a link for a skid plate and they are trying to sell me a $1,200 CAD program. No thanks! Haha.

For those worried about oil changes with skids. You can get a vacuum oil extractor and suck it from the dipstick tube. I prefer doing this anyway because you don't burn yourself and you don't spill any. As for the oil filter, I don't have any handy tricks besides you can use aluminum foil to make a drain path if something is in the way. Had to do that with my Titan that had the filter right over the suspension and sway bar.
I use an extractor like this. I should have gotten the one that hooks to an airline. It's not to bad to pump though. https://www.amazon.com/OEMTOOLS-24936-Manual-Extractor-Gallons/dp/B07N7XC7DM/

Not sure if your being sarcastic or not. But for future readers, CAD is Canadian dollar, in freedom bucks there about $920 at today's exchange rate.

No need for the green card. We are still wide open to everyone in the world. Commies, socialists, earth nutters and all.

Come on down and join in on the fun! Maybe we can share your ‘free’ healthcare that makes everything so expensive up there?:D

Hey it's all free if your wife never tells you how much it cost. I'm still under the assumption my son's delivery was free haha.
