Moving to MT from N.C. soon. What are the differences in services done at Toyota dealerships in colder climates as opposed to warmer ones? Just for my own information since I’ve never really lived in cold climate areas for extended periods of time.

Nice. I live near Camp Lejeune now so I would assume Great Falls has all the amenities we would need, just about an hour away (and the chance of snow being everywhere) as opposed to 15 minutes and no snow.

That’s going to be the main thing, negative degree weather. Something I’ve not experienced much. Getting ready to change wardrobes I guess and invest in muck boots and heavy coats for a family of 5.

It does get chilly. The snow isn't too bad. In Great Falls, it would snow (powdered) but be gone in a few days due to the Chinook winds that come in. Yes GF would have most everything that you need, along with Amazon...LOL. GF has around 55,000 ppl or so. Malmstrom is the active duty Air Force base there. It has the normal base exchange and commissary and medical clinic, but there are 2 hospitals in town. Do some summer traveling...the kids would love Glacier National or Yellowstone.

That’s what we are looking forward to is the parks the most. My wife is from Wyoming so we’ve lived in my neck of the woods long enough and the kids are ready for a new adventure. Going to be using Amazon a lot I can already tell.

It won't be too bad for her then. I bet the kids will love it once they adapt. I went from SC to Montana. The weather got me too...lol. Then from Mt to Florida, it got me again!!

Have a block heater installed, or DIY it, pretty easy to do. Sure, a Tundra will start at brutally cold temps, but it’s worth it just for quicker heat in the cab and less wear and tear on cold starts.

Yup, DIY installed the block heater with a flush NOCO plug in the bumper. I plug it in at 0 and below usually. Run the block heater 4 hours before I start it for work, Remote start rocks too, just installed that. Run 0w-20 full synthetic oil, de-icer washer fluid that won’t freeze, and I have fresh coolant that is good to about -40
