Tundra Screensaver start up screen

I don't think the option is available on the 2020.

 

Has anyone had an issue with uploading images to a 2019? The image looks perfectly fine on my computer, but when it gets transferred to the head unit, it goes inverted...

 

Did my 2019 with no issues. Named the files exactly as it is mentioned.

 

Trying to get this done on a 2020 like a few others mentioned, if anyone is successful I would appreciate it if they could share how, options arent the same I am guessing.

 

So did I. The pictures would not have been uploaded into the system otherwise. I'm guessing there's something wrong with my settings on the HU.

 

I tried to do the same last night. In the process, I found I could watch movies on the main screen. That's pretty cool!

wait what? How did you do that? I am guessing you had movies on a thumb drive or something? What format?

 

Yes, the movie was on the thumb drive. When I get home I'll find out what the format of the movie was...and I'll walk through the steps of how it got to playing.

 

First make sure your phone is not connected to the truck. It will turn on off. In my 2019 the best pics in size 1920x1080 rev to make full screen.

 

So it looks like I was able to play both “avi” and “mov” videos. The photos I’ve included were screenshots I took of “the avengers” movie playing through a thumb drive.

 

So we can watch movies on a thumb drive but we can't customize the screen. I guess 2020 trks aren't as tech advanced.

 

I could customize it on my 2016 and 2019 Tacoma, no luck on 2021 Tundra! Took away my free mod!

 

My workaround for this was a ram mount on the dash and a Samsung 10" tablet.

I now can watch Netflix or Amazon movies... or use Google maps/Waze without the glitchy android auto bullshit.

 

I couldn't get it to work on my 2019, gave up after several tries.

 

I still cant get it to recognize these files. Any ideas why ?

 

You need details on what types and size they are as well as where you store them in the flash drive. File names and folders must be EXACTLY as described or they won't work. If the file is 5.00001mb, it won't work either. If file names are 33 characters it won't work.


Or maybe Toyota has an LSU filter built into their system
