In my position I'd rather work it. If I was going up to Maine this weekend then I wouldn't but that time and a half is calling my name and my bank account is echoing it ominously

 

Oh I also wouldn’t mind the OT, but we close completely. I do have work to do while home, essentially my form of OT.

 

Yeah no homework for me and usually on holidays we run a skeleton crew so my job gets much easier.
Less people asking for stuff, less people breaking stuff, more time to just take a step back and figure out what the hell I was working on before I got interrupted.

 

All around the less people to deal with makes for an easy day!

just about once a month, and yeah I'm planning on moving up in the summer after I turn 21. Incidentally me going to maine every month makes it hard for me to save money to move but I've been trying to plan out spring financially and saving most of my tax return for it.

 

I agree with both of you. Fewer people always makes the job easier. That's why nights are kinda nice, sometimes. Biggest struggle is staying awake.

 

Whenever possible pay cash or if credit pay off in as few payments. Don’t get caught up in debt if you can avoid it.

That's what I'm dealing with now. I've been having trouble going to sleep before 4am lately and today was the tipping point where I just didn't sleep. I've been awake since 9am yesterday and I have 7 more hours here

 

I have a credit card but because of how infrequently I use it I forgot I had it until I got an email about a missed payment. Needless to say I buy at most a tank of gas with it in emergency situations and pay it off as soon as I can

I've gotten pretty good at it over the years but It's definitely draining. I feel like sometime right around 6-7 I'll be nodding off a bit but I'll get energy back somehow and probably still not go to bed until 3am

 

Studies show over time the “unnatural” hours take a toll on your body...

 

I'm not surprised but as I'm still a young strapping lad I probably won't notice until my 30's.

I definitely am. I'm still enjoying my metabolism while it lasts. I usually lose about 3 lbs every night and gain it all back during the day. I used to hover around 175ish but now its a consistent 185ish so my metabolism is slowing down a bit but I'm also no longer working manual labor. Now I just walk around a bit and sit at my desk

 

Hahaha, don't forget to try to keep the beer gut in check, catch up to you before ya know it. Moderation as they say? Hell, I didn't even start drinking 'till I was older, and even then only when around friends. Good thing I'm not an alone drinker or my body would fall apart more than it already has!

 

So Nick @NE_WARRIOR since you're a guy and young...are you into exotic pets? I know weird question, but there is a point. lol

 

I usually have a beer gut after about 15 beers. Anything less isn't all that noticeable but in any case its gone in a couple days

 

quite a bit actually. One of my friends has a 6ft long python and she is the coolest snake ever. Another friend has a small rainbow colored parrot that is a lot of fun to hang out with. so yeah, I like exotics

No, I'm not necessarily "into" them, but very fascinated about their life...and as the saying goes, if you are around what you fear, that's the best way to get over it. lol

 

Not huge into spiders, more reptiles and birds than anything. But if we were talking exotics that I really wanna be around then bears are at the top of my list. I just really wanna befriend a bear ... or any large fluffy mammal

 

So did that guy who went to Alaska and got eaten! There are zoos out there right? lol

 

I had parrots at one point...but they fell ill..anyway, used to.
