Considering rarity of the t3 trucks I doubt I’ll find one unless one pops up in a junkyard...

Unless anyone on here has one and can post the part number written in the grille

I checked online and it does come up but says I need to present a vin to order. It wouldn't fit anyway but trdparts4u use to be a website that sold those grilles for AC and DC in any color but I keep digging and it looks like they arent around anymore.

    Heres link for Grille https://parts.toyota.com/p/Front-Grille--Silver-Grill/69530267/PTS333406101.html
Post I found of people talking about old grille

I believe it was a Canada only model, so you'd have to order it from Canada if it's available and if they would ship it to the US.

Will the DW edition fit an access cab, or only DC's? I know the T3 editions were only offered in Access Cab I think. Some poor SOB is going to wreck his Darrell Waltrip one day and be unable to find a grill. :D

it was Canada only but USA can order the parts just the same, so you’re only half correct.

    only DC.

Quick and cheap mod, screwed in my stubby antenna today. Instead of paying $30 I found this one for $7 on eBay; although I don't listen to the radio, it actually works! I've never liked the tall OEM one and prefer the cleaner look.

So you've ordered Canadian only Special Edition parts in the USA and received them? That's interesting. I know that people have had a hard time ordering USA based X-SP parts inside the USA unless they can prove they own an X-SP (X-SP is a Toyota SE Region only package)....

I’m the same as you. Never used the radio either and replaced with a $20 Amazon find which was quickly broken off in the car wash :( now I just have an antenna base with the hole filled with half an antenna screw lol. Oh well

Used to work at a car wash and that's why I don't recommend those automatic machines. Hopefully you can fill that hole for the last time!

Yep. I see people take their new vehicles into those death tunnels and feel bad for them. They use terrible soaps, and those brushes do more harm than good. It has to be dire circumstances for me to use an automatic car wash.

Oh I know. I cringe hearing those dirty brushes swirl my paint but I had to that day. Most of the time I’m a 2 bucket simply guy and like to do it myself, except when it’s snowing and 20 outside.

I hear that. I like doing my own washes unless it's cold and then I'll drive through the touchless. I guess having a black truck before got me pretty good at washes a man the Titans have a lot of body surfaces! My little tundra is easy to wash.

I need to learn, my car before was white VW Rabbit so I would just run it through the touchless but now, I have a black tundra and there are quite a bit of swirl marks and Im not sure how to get rid of them. I was thinking having a detail company clay bar and wax it.

You could easily do it yourself. It's not difficult, just a bit time consuming. I used to detail cars and charged a lot. You'd save a ton of money doing it yourself. And now that they have the new claybar mits it's even faster and easier than before.

Woah I need to look into those mitts actually. The way my house is setup, I have no drain and Im three houses from the street drain so that is my main problem. It floods like crazy back here but maybe I could do it at a friends. Cost wise how much is it to buy all the wax polish and what not?

I would say $60-100 depending on what you already have. You need dawn dish soap to start. Iron X would help but you could skip that step. You don't need a buffer. I do it by hand.

I'm not very knowledgeable on single stage paint, but I learned how to run a buffer when I was getting my old truck ready to sell. It's one of those cases of "if I can do it, almost anyone can do it"

To be clear, I don't think they did single stage paint on anything other than white. His black truck will have a clear coat. But the process remains nearly the same.

    • Wash with Dawn
    • Dexontaminate with IronX(optional)
    • Rinse
    • Claybar
    • Rinse
    • Polish
    • Wax
One could knock this out in a day and black trucks clean up the nicest. He'd have a dark, rich looking paint job after that.

Went with some 285/75/16 Nitto Ridge Grapplers on the new F5's. I like the gunmetal finish alot more than my dark bronze set. Added the SCS spoke decals as well. Stoked on the new look. Bumper is getting mounted next. Back to work!

In your Detail Forum Thread, you mentioned...."Several panels required steps 3 and 5 to be repeated multiple times"....would that apply for those like myself with a pretty decent paint job/clear coat with a Maroon(Salsa Red Pearl) ?

Most likely not. Yours shouldn't be oxidized like mine. Especially if the paint is in good shape like you say. That red should pop!
