Stereo, Interior lights, and high beam switch not working

Well actually that was the one I was speaking of

 

I'm just wondering to if it may be the ignition switch

 

What I was trying to say is that the fuse on the rear of the radio is only going to affect power to the radio, not any of the other interior items on that circuit.

 

I went out and checked some CV that stuff, I went to unplug the cig lighters and I must have blowed main fuse. It knocked everything off. All I did was unplug them.

 

Not necessarily a bad thing. Now you know that a fuse is blown.

Double check your wiring to make sure nothing rubbed through because it sounds like a hot wire made contact with something it shouldn't have.

No its pouring rain here so haven't gotten a chance to do anything else

 

Also I was trying to get the Alt 120a fuse out to check it since everything went off, and I ended up breaking it. So now I'm going to have to take fuse box loose to get that fuse out. I'd been better off leaving damn thing alone! Should have just took it to mechanic to get it fixed

 

Like I said, DONT just look at the fuse, test it in the circuit, that's WHY there are 2 tabs of metal on the back of the fuse. Power on both sides obviously the fuse is good.......now if you have a good fuse and then OMG there is no power to the fuse, NOW you have a starting point.

 

Ok I put new Alt 120amp fuse back in and the truck is back like it was. Not sure how that fuse blowed when I was just pulling the plugs off the cig lighters. I think now that it's back running, I'm just going to take it to mechanic to fix my stereo and interior lights problem

 

Got my Truck back from mechanic today and all I mentioned above is now back working.

Had a broke power wire somewhere along the dome circuit which runs all stuff mentioned. So instead of tracing down that break, he ran a new power wire and it's all fixed now! Thank all you guys for your responses!!

 

Glad to hear she’s up and running! At least we were kind in the right direction lol! I bet it’s like driving a whole new truck going this long without any of that working.

 

Oh yeah it was nice, especially hearing the stereo again lol!
