6112 Setting and Tire/Wheel Combo Thread.

Do some more research. I’ve always seen people on here say you can fit 35x12.5s at stock height on Rock Warrior wheels. I’m not saying you can or can’t for sure but get a few more opinions

Thanks @Rica25 ! After a bunch of saving and planning and patience it finally paid off. I am in absolute love with it. Now just need new rock sliders bumpers! Time to start saving again lol.

 

Yep exactly. 6112s in the front and 5160s in the rear. Camburg UCAs, and @Coachbuilder1 shims and shackles.

Do the 6112/5160 shocks come with new bushings? My truck has 86k. I do not want to reuse mine

Currently at 1.9” up front and 1” shackle in the back with 275/70/18 but ready to get rid of my chicken legs..

I'm running 35s as well. Check my post #761 & 764.

 

Definatly needs mods, I am top notch and 295-70-18, had to adjust the front wheel spat as it rubbed a bit there. I am on stock wheels as well.

Finally made a decision on my suspension after reading through this ENTIRE wonderful thread.
I’m getting 6112’s/5100’s installed Thursday. Setting front at 1.9 and rear staying stock. Now just trying to decide on wheels.
Shop doing install said I can fit 295/60/20 or 295/70/18 without doing anything additional except minor trimming. I don’t want to do any body chop work.
does this sound accurate? Anyone running this setup so I can see pictures. I’m having a hard time deciding between 18” and 20” and also thinking of going against his advice and doing 285 instead of 295. Thoughts??

 

You will need to remove front forward small mud flaps. You will need to heat gun and reshape your large mud flaps behind the front wheels. Highly recommend you order CB bumper shims to move your front bumper forward 1/2” to clear tires. Doing all of this “should” keep you from having to trim anything. Hacking and trimming a new truck was not something I was willing to do on a $50K truck.

Or just go top setting if you want 295's, I was able to barely keep the front spat after pulling it forward with a center screw. Somewhat close to front mudflap with syock wheels.

 

I’m running that exact setup running 285/70/18s removed front spat minor trimming on front mud flaps. I chose 18s over 20s for the ride quality. I could have gone 295s but wasn’t much difference in the size. Any larger tire you go with is a lot better than the stock ones that come on them. I was also like you and didn’t want to do chop work right now on a new truck but in a few years I’ll redo it and go 37s.

just completed install of:

SPC UCA’s, 6112’s at highest setting plus CB shims, 2 driver side and 1 passengers

5160’s with +3 CB shackles in rear.

running 295/70/18 wild peaks on stock TRD 18 wheels.

love the look but concerned the alignment is off. Seems to pull right a bit and at time a wobble can over in the wheel at 45 - 55 Can someone verify my alignment numbers please?

 

275/70r18 set at 1.9”, 1.25” spidertrax spacers and a toytec AAL to help support the constant weight of Decked storage system and work stuff in the back. Absolutely love how it rides! Night and day vs stock and far better than I was expecting.

Did the AAL add any height over stock?

 

@Stig because of all my weight it was sagging, the AAL brought it back to stock height in the rear.

If there was no weight it’s supposedly good for 2.5” of height in the rear

 

I see. I was planning on going with the 1.3 inch setting since I'm not planning to lift the rear yet. I have a cap and fridge back there. Yours looked pretty level but if the AAL adds some height back I'll stick with 1.3 for now
