For the average driver. I wonder if it saves the equivalent of 1mpg or .1 mpg

I would make this kind of tech. an option as part of a package. Not interested in this tech.

    Suprise
The skeptic in me is thinking that these estimates are highly optimistic. The technology for these starters are already available to every car maker. If anyone could add 1 mpg to their fleet ratings why wouldn’t they already be doing so?

They’re not talking about the auto stop that shuts off at red lights and in traffic. They’re talking about a system that shuts the truck down if you leave it running for some predetermined amount of time. I too would like to know how long that is... and what impact it would have on my remote start... but it isn’t shutting off even 10 seconds like GM/Honda/Ford.

This would be less annoying but should still come with a switch to let you keep the vehicle running for whatever reason.

the fuel savings then are spent on new starter or alternator that is used to start engines at red lights...no gain

but, manufacturers make the EPA #'s

    complete BS
