B10183DD-10B4-4EF0-AE2E-151498F07FE9.jpg Bought this truck off of a close family friend about a year ago, so far I have new headlight housings, 2.5(front) 1.5(rear) leveling kit. Took off the muffler and redid trim. Also pout aftermarket fog lights in lower bumper. Any other suggestions as to what should come next?

The clear coat on my Thunder Grey Metallic 2002 looks about as bad.
    Is your truck a V6?

Check all the fluids and change them.
If you live in a rust area check the frame for rust.
Change the spark plugs and inspect the coils.
If you dont have the history of the timing belt being changed buy the aisin kit off Amazon and change it and the water pump.
Inspect and replace worn out suspension pieces.
Being an 02 you have shitty WE calipers. Get the z32 WL kit off rock auto and swap em.
Check your rear brakes and do the rear diff breather mod.
Check the driveshaft for play and replace carrier bearing/u joints as needed.
Check all interior lights and replace as needed.

Most of this has a thread in the info dump thread up in the stickies. That should be a good start. Let us know what you find.

Thanks for the tip. Mines a v8 but the clear coat has all but turned to dust. I’m in Cali so don’t need to worry too much about rust.

Yeah, clear coat is an issue I've been seeing more and more of here lately.

If you’d polish it every other day then this wouldn’t be a problem. :D

Very true...thinking about wrapping the hood with vinyl and then re clearcoating all the other peeling places.

It’s the aps billet grille off of Amazon. Required some cutting and drilling but nothing a dremel couldn’t take care of!

Thank you, the housings aren’t quite as good of quality but I love the clarity on them.

Are you going to restore the trk, or use it as a 2nd vehicle beater.

I’m restoring it and upgrading. I’m only in highschool so it’s slow going. Lol

If your high school offers vocational school classes and auto body repair is one of them, take the trk to them for a paint job.
