What size coils do the TRD PRO use, 600 or 700 lbs!

    Definitely not 700. I believe it's 600

thanks, I looked all over google and couldn't find it! I am thinking of going with a Toytec/Radflo 2.5 front coil over and they have the 700lbs coils, I just wanted to here input on 700 coils.

I am putting them on my 2017 Tundra CM SR5 4x4 and am thinking these or the King 2.5 with the 600 coils!

700 lb coil will give you the best ride possible, the 600s are going to be preloaded a ton!!
Yes the kings are super shiny and blue but the radflos will perform well.

Actually I remember reading someone had their Pro tested and it was 620lbs IIRC.

Matt @mcmfab recommended 700lb. for my CM. I think you can get the Kings with 700lb coils? I'm pretty sure Eibach makes both. If you're going with a heavy aftermarket front bumper then 700lb for sure, from what I've read.

    I believe that DD is the only place that has a drop down option when completing an online order;
    http://dirtydeedsindustries.com/product/king-suspension/

Almost every other retailer you will need to call to make the necessary adjustment.

With that said, you "should" be able to order pretty much any coil-over with a specific spring rate )fox, ADS, King, SAW, etc). King uses their own springs, and most everyone else uses Eibach IIRC.

I didn't know King used their own coils, I just assumed they used Eibach too.

KING IS THE ONLY OFF-ROAD SHOCK COMPANY THAT OFFERS THEIR OWN SPRINGS
KING HAS THE LARGEST SELECTION OF OFF-ROAD SPRINGS AVAILABLE ANYWHERE !!!

The vendor's claim is clearly false. OME, for instance offers their own coils also. Perhaps they mean 'make their own spring'. ARB (OME) has huge manufacturing facility so I assumed that they make their own stuff. Someone correct me if I am wrong to assume that.

I 2nd this. I've never had hydraulic bump stops not seep on my crawler. Every brand I tried seep. I HATE leaks. This all stopped when I went to radflo stops. Their seal design is leaps and bounds better than king, fox, FOA, etc. Not tundra related, but Radflo shock quality related none the less.

Dont know much about this subject, what do bump stop and leaks mean! Also On my new 2017 Tundra CM for a 98% on road driving, the 700 coils and toytec/rad 2.5's will still ride as good as the 2.5 King or Fox setup and as well as the TRD PRO setup?

I know Sean is great at this and recommends the 700, I know KING uses a 600 coils and he says it is pre loaded a ton, I dont mean to sound dumb, but the 700 is not preloaded? and what does that mean preloaded is not good on the coil as with the 600/KING 2.5?

    Thanks all!

I am myself looking into which C/O to buy, but the hydraulic bump stop is an aftermarket bump stop that has oil and seals in them that can periodically leak.

    Thanks,

I assume from above post, the toytec/radflo 2.5 front coilovers don't leak like other may!

What have you narrowed it down to

It's not the C/O that leaks, it's the bump stops, at least as far as this thread is concerned. IMO for on road driving, all of the c/o choices above are great choices. It's your wallet and personal preference.

Sorry for the confusion about bumps stops, that has been my only experience with all brands. Just wanted to reiterate that radflo is a very good product.

I've never used hydraulic bump stops. I heard they're a major pita to install.

Depends on what you are installing them in. They have bolt on kits for tundras. You have to cut/weld to get some on jeeps. Except for JKs, those things are like legos. Everything bolts on.

    Ok,

thanks all for the input, I will make up my mind payday on what set up I'm getting! Also many thanks to csuviper Sean, Law, and others here, you guys are amazing and this forum feels like home when it comes to the Tundra!

    These are my choice's

    1. King 2.5 coil over & rear with external res
    2. Fox 2.5 coil over & rear with external res
    3. Toytec/Radflo 2.5 coil over & rear with external res
    4. Bilstein 2.5 coil over & rear with external res

I think they all come with 600 lb coils but the Toytec/Radflo has the 700 lb coils!

I want a tight, strong ride without a squirrelly feel! I may but may not later down the line add a bigger bumper or brush guard grill! I have never owned a 4x4 before and never went 4 wheeling but now that I am older and can build something nice, I want to get the best for my $! I even thought of the TRP PRO suspension but i've heard many times there is better out there for the money, I tried to go this route with the dealer but they want so much to install and I am tired of the bullshit Ive dealt with my dealer!

I will probably go off road 1% and on 99%, but if I go off I want to go balls to the wall if needed! I plan on a lot of road trips now that I am retired both mentally and physically, lol

I want about the lift height of the TRP PRO and nothing over 3", want at least 295/70/18's or similar without chopping!
I dont plan on doing a Baja! I dont want to worry about rebuilding the shocks to soon and if I do 99% on road, I hope maybe I wouldnt have to rebuild that soon!

Again, thank you all so much! This is a hard choice but I think I'm close!
