A claim that size you can only hope they pulled the black box data and saw he was doing 80 mph with 100% throttle and start asking questions. Maybe his passenger tried to file a claim and spilled the beans... Financial pain is the only way some people learn!

If this video went viral then ins will at some point know and can even claim charges if fraud, then it becomes criminal and financially painful.

So teach me: where would I find rules about what off-road driving is covered and what is not? I’m not being sarcastic, I’m wanting guidance because Raptors are depicted as being able to handle high speed dessert driving— which, in my limited experience— may include berms and drop-offs that turn out to be bigger than they look on approach. The term ‘faster than conditions’ seems the only applicable limit, but who decides? It can’t be legal that any damage negates coverage— or why have comprehensive insurance?

Read your insurance policy. There is a section listing exclusions of coverage.

That was not off road driving......that was taking a jump at 80+ mph. Idiotic if you ask me because there isn’t a stock truck made that can take that type of abuse even one time. Just because you spend 70k+ on an off road capable vehicle doesn’t mean you are capable taking it off road. And especially if you’re going to be a dumb ass about it. Whoever thought that wouldn’t end up the way it did (major catastrophic damage to the truck and a trip to the hospital for the occupants) is off their rocker.

This. And if an insurance company thinks they can get away with it they will deny coverage even if technically the claim should be covered. I can’t imagine a jury would feel sorry for this guy. He is lucky he didn’t kill anyone.

I’m thinking he meant to hit the downside of that double and didn’t give it a few trial runs. Maybe a little whiskey dick involved and floored it to be sure he cleared the double. Huck to flat for sure.

Tint and wheels. Decked box in the bed. S and B Cold Air filters under the hood. Shiftpower throttle response controller.
But Bo and Luke Duke used to do this all of the time and kept driving. Guess it's cause they drove a Dodge?

I feel like the only thing missing in that vid is a tiny kiddie pool.

I wonder how long after launching in the air it took for the driver to figure out he might have been going a little to fast. I'm guessing right after yell "oohhh" and right before "shhhhiiiiit!

Well at least the air bags worked. The Duke brothers should of kept to the challenger. I guess they wanted to try something new!!!! Nice jump though but should of landed on the back wheels first. But it’s a ford and it’s ok to fix rear daily. I look at it this way if you got the money for to buy one of them raptors you got the money to fix it. Maybe they should of put some FOX decals on. I’m wondering when the Duke brothers are going to try it again?
