What I do is put the strut on, tigthen one bolt up, shove a pry bar between the coils on the shock and prey down on the upper control arm.

Didn't @TX-TRD1stGEN swap his coilovers with the tire still on? Pretty sure he did...

Replaced my PCV valve. It was pretty gross. B99F6F94-A1DB-4F65-8EC8-6B6F0DBFA1AF.jpg
Also checked my spark plugs for the first time since getting the truck last March. They look great. Pleasantly surprised.

Costco has mobile1 high mileage on sale 6 quarts for $28, so I bought a couple cases. 5 quart jugs are also on sale at Oriellys. Oil change planned for tomorrow depending on rain.

also installed the Hewitt tech bypass. Had a failure on the passenger side bypass plate install, posted in other thread.

Figured this was the most minimal bumper I'd see, then I see this one on another thread.

Whatever muffler you pick will not be as long as the stock one, that thing is like a 55 gallon drum. I cut off the resonator and the stock muffler and ran 2.5" pipe from the Y to the Spintech, and the Spintech is where the old muffler was just before the upward bend.

@because_wumbo-truck you can use a side in center out, a center in side out, a center in center out or whatever. It will change the angle of the pipe after the muffler, the whole pipe after will shift and swing. A center in center out is what I would use, and what I plan to use when I'm forced to revise my setup later this year.

I like that one, but I wouldn’t be willing to take a hit from a rock with it. Nor would I mount a hitch basket to that receiver, in fear that it would bend the rest of the “bumper”

Depending on the mounting it would probably take a hit to the center alright. Those side tubes might just make for more damage on the body if they got hit though.

I'm planning to change my rear suspension soon, when I do my tailpipe will interfere with the relocated passenger side shock. I'm probably going to get a new center to center of the same muffler and clock the tailpipe until the angle doesn't interfere. If that won't work I'll be forced to shorten things up and kick it out the side.

I'll see if I can manage a sound clip this week. It's fairly loud when I drive by but not loud in the cab.

I need to do this. You went with the ECGS bushing or just another OEM needle bearing?

Maybe you missed the "free" part in my post, there is no price (not selling anything - that would be no bueno on this forum). Just offering my extra manual FREE to a fellow Tundra owner, because I appreciate all that I have learned for free on this board from the experienced folks here - and I don't need two of them. USPS flat rate box shipping (usually ~$xxish in the CONUS) is the only cost.

EDIT: never mind shipping cost, I will cover that as well. Just need a name and address (PM'ed to me). I will edit this post once it is spoken for. Maybe the recipient can do someone else a favor sometime.

EDIT (x2): this is spoken for, being sent to CodyP

Installed CalTrend seat covers today - custom made to fit. Actually, only got the driver's side done. Will finish the passenger side tomorrow. My interior still looks great, so the covers are a preventative measure...

So it doesnt change the sound or anything? That's what I was asking. I already have mine installed I think it's side center out. I had it added to the stock spot and the res.removed then o went in with a sawzall a month or two later and cut the tail pipe just after the axle. Eventually I plan to get some long tubes and a full dirty deeds system, but the flow master was free and it works fine for me.now. sounds decent.

I've always wanted a side exit exhaust but since.i have sliders and plan to do more off-roading once the truck is done, it would need to go thru the body or it would just get smashed. So I'll likely just dump it. But I may go thru the body. I don't know.

i happened to find an 06 manual. works for me for now. other manuals in there are 3 highlanders and 2 corolla ones. other than that its just a bunch of dated awards from the 80s for our parts department

I only have this truck at the moment, you think the spintech might be a little much for daily driving? I don't mind loud as long as I wont get a ticket.

That's where I'm at with exhaust and why I haven't made any changes yet. I thought I wanted to go through the body but idk if im liking it. Only seen one done and it wasn't the focus of the pics (i think it's "Al Tundy"). I thought about dumping but my bed will be my sleeping area so dont want to dump in case I never need/want to run the truck and be in the bed. Decisions....
