Ordered the 6-3/4" AntennaMastsRus "Premium" version off of Amazon and it showed up yesterday. Can't even get local stations to come in clear. Even Sirius XM is staticy. Going to test Amazon's return policy.

Can't believe anyone actually recommended the POS!

That antenna has nothing to do with XM. But yeah, the stubby antennas are more for show than they are for go...

Honestly, mine works where my stock was static. Maybe it’s defective?
Sorry your experience was not the same.

I have the stubby one from MastsRUs. Works very well. I do live close to Portland, so the stations come in strong, but I managed to hold onto good FM all the way down to Albany, OR with it on the same PDX station.

I think you got a bad one.

There's nothing to test with Amazon's return policy. Return it within the time limit, you'll get your money back.

I have a cheap $30 one and it works perfectly.

I have the same one and it works great. Can't compare to stock thought because I switched it out immediately. Try returning and buying another. I think you got a bad one too. If it sucks, return again.

It could easily be a counterfeit as well. Amazon has plenty of counterfiet stuff on their site. Order one directly from the link I provided.

I ordered the Ronin .50 cal antenna from Amazon, works perfectly! Only lost signal on rare occasions running thru the mountains in NH. Other than that, looks good, works better.

Mine works well. At least it did for the 2 minutes I listened to the radio to test it for the benefit of those asking here. Haven't turned the radio on since then, don't remember the last time I listened to the radio before then.

Might be your radio. That antenna doesn't have anything to do with satellite radio.

Agreed that your location might be part of the issue.

They have different length antennas [of the kind you bought]: when I get around to it, I am replacing the original [which hits on the garage, going in and out] with one a few inches shorter [20 inches, I think].

    You might try that.

The shorter antennas are typically for looks. i have the .50 cal Ronin Factory Antenna. Love the way it looks. But its connection is weaker.

Doesn't bother me much because i think ive used the radio once or twice. Basically whenever my phone isn't connecting to the truck

I honestly tried every antenna...not even that nicer one everybody was ordering compares to original....dont waste ur time on stubby....im sure a few people had some luck but i went back to stock...there must be a reason they use that big mast.....it needs a signal booster imo

Never had a problem with Amazon or eBay returns.
Stubby works better than the OEM, and as others stated it has nothing to do with the satellite radio. If you are have problems with XM it’s probably your location or maybe a defect in the head unit?

I use the antenna source and this specific one. i tried the 3" one and the reception was horrible from them. switch to this one and its almost as good as the oem.

I got the Metra .50 cal. for the looks. Not sure how it works with am/fm as I listen to XM mostly. But can give an update on it if anyone is interested. 66CAD3AA-59AB-4F4B-86FA-3FFA9FAF25FC.jpg

Got the Ronin stubby antenna. Works well. Sirius XM doesnt use that antenna and my music is on my phone anyway. I got it because “it looks cool and chicks dig it”.... lol.
