If I would have been the one that bought the UCAs for my truck I would have went total chaos uniballs. I have them on the 4Runner and like them a lot. I get a squeak here and there, but I know right away to spray some triflow in there. It’s hard to find a good alignment tech around here, let alone, one that knows how to mess with all the adjustment in the spc. I like being able to grease the bushings as well.

Yeah I had Camburg on my 4runner and didn’t have squeaks. Liked how simple it was to remove the bolt and access to my coilovers but I got the Eibachs for 1/2 the price of Camburg or TC so figured I’d give them a try. I’m not pushing this truck off road yet or anything serious so ball joint are good with me. If I eventually really build it out and take on more trails I’ll think about it.

oh they ride wonderfully (you might be a little rougher than me because your going to have to run preload) but they ride great. but you can tell why theyre 450 total for everything (for me) vs 1200 for icons/kings

im talking about the 2.5" drop in series. i talk to many people that swear by them. but he kept having rust on the shock bodies (like borderline rot leaking bodies). now the TRD fox shocks on the TRDS pro trucks? i think they ride good and they seem to hold up fine. raptor shocks do to

What's it like from the backside? Is it functionally a big windsock aerodynamically?

Not park on the street. My normal parking spot is down a three house length drive way with mine at the end hidden by my front neighbors fence and we have cameras in the back. I rarely park on the street and it was my first time in a few months. Just got unlucky haha

I also saw that a company called OR fab use to make a Catalytic covering skid plate but I guess they went out of business and I cant find any. Let me know if you got one!

I think something is a smidge different from late model double cab frames vs the access cabs that the cut files got measured from. The angle of the dangle and the width were off. I even confirmed with coastal, and they said yes the holes were off on their piece.....and nothing else.
I might do reverse lights at some point down the road

It’s always better from the backside:)
Id say it’s no more wind socky than the stock bumper.

Question: When ABS engages on our trucks, do all 4 wheels activate or just the front 2 wheels?

definitely all four wheels. I'll commonly hit an icy patch on one side, and the ABS kicks on and I can't stop at all because it disengages the side on dry pavement too.

I have one sitting in my garage, haven't put it on because there is no access to the trans drain plug. Skid row makes a plate that should do the same thing and they're still on business.

I can't remember if you mounted those yet. How did it go drilling into the frame? Or are you having to fix that crossmember first?

The OR Fab version has much higher sides than that but I'm sure that would make cutting cats enough of a pain to keep those sawzall equipped bastards away.

I have to fix the cross member first. I've only got the front two mounted. The rear two skids mount to the cross member. The transfer case skid also uses two existing holes on the frame then I'll have to drill the other two iirc

I cant find a good picture of the Skid row plates but from what Ive seen, even with the transmission plate and transfer case plate, it will leave a hole right where the cats are. If any one has pics let know!

Picked up my refund check yesterday along with new brake shoes.

Today I tweaked the gas shroud and body sheet metal to allow a better drain pattern. There was some gunk built up behind the shroud between the sheet metal. Cleaned it up and did a visual drip test in the kitchen sink. Sprayed assy with some silicone and reinstalled with the 4 bolts sprayed with rust reform.

Doing volunteer work at Dereks Center next week and unable to get the axle seals done until week after. Stealership is busy with holiday goons this week trying to cram everything in before going back from holiday.

There's like 8 first gen tundras that I know of including mine within me neighborhood. Ones a T3, ones a step side and ones that really pretty blue color, but they're mostly white or grey.
