I bought two Start-X plug and play remote starters for my 2017 Tundra and my wives 2013 Ford Escape and installed them both and I'm having problems with the remote starter for my Tundra. I am unable to unlock the doors of the truck while the engine is running. If I shut the truck off using the remote starter, the doors will unlock. My wives vehicle does not have this problem and will unlock while the engine is running. I contacted Start-X tech support and they have been trying to help me, but with no solution. we have replaced the wire harness and module and even added a RF antenna with new remotes and still have the same problem. Wondering if anyone else has had the same problem with the start-x remote with the Fortin module.

Are you sure you properly installed the TPMS bypass? When you do a remote start of the vehicle, your TPMS light will be flashing to indicate a "fault". Without this bypass, your vehicle will not unlock. Another thing to note is that with the Start-X (Fortin) system, your vehicle will not confirmation beep 2x for unlock, but rather it should unlock all corners on a single click (because the Fortin logic has taken over and is listening/reacting to the unlock signal from your keyfob)

TPMS bypass was my first thought as well. I have the Start-X system and it works like a charm.
