    Hey guys. Been eyeing Tundras since my friend got a '12, so I finally got a VERY lightly used '14 last month with 17k miles on it. Not a mark on it or in it and it drives so nicely!

    The forum has already been a big help. The truck had the infamous radio/nav unit reboot issue and I was able to see the long history of this issue though the posts which helped me a lot with the dealer. They tried to update the firmware but it didn't work so I ended up with a new head unit and it works great. All free under warranty.

    I've changed out the interior bulbs to LED and will replace the drop in bed liner with a bed rug and installing a fold up tonneau (not sure which one yet). I'll probably get the ESP under seat storage unit too along with a new ball hitch.

    Look forward to tapping the knowledge here.

    Thanks, been lurking just a bit and can already see the caliber of folks here, and I'm already seeing both sides of the save money/spend money coin!

    I owned a completely stock 1989 Toyota pickup with that bullet proof 22-RE engine in it until a few years ago. I "gave" it to my Godson for $1000 and he's put some love into it but knows it comes back to me if he ever wants to part with it. Had I known about this forum I would have been more educated about building these things up and he never would have got it lol. I think the Tundra is going to cost me enough though. I'm already seeing it as a blank slate.
