I like the gloss black on my Sunday driver, but not sure about a truck.

What is the black TRD Pro grille as that will drive the black color theme throughout?

I had my Tacoma wheels done in semi gloss (black) when I had it. Truck was black.
    It was a modest touch.
Obviously with the semi gloss wheels, I am on the fence lol.
Either way it will look great.

My Matte Black Fuel Recoil wheels match my PRO grille and B pillar vinyl wrapping very well.

Matte, I think it looks good with almost any paint color.

    Professionally applied powdercoat......costly process!

I had matte black Trail Teams rims on my Tacoma and they ALWAYS looked dirty. The gloss black on my Pro is 10X easier to keep clean which gives it a huge advantage in my book.

What did the powder coat cost on a set of 20inch platinum wheels? if I can ask? you can also PM me.
I am in the same boat and wanted to go back to 18s in place of 20in wheels. better ride quality and less expensive for rubber down the road

Interesting...is this a personal preference or a fact that 18's provide a better ride quality over 20's? I ask because ride quality is at the top of my list. I'd like to do a 3/1 level kit - or something to remove the rake, but ride quality is very important to me. Wondering if keeping 18's for ride quality would look silly with a 3/1?

Its a fact... you're basically riding on a bigger cushion of air. And I personally like the looks of 18 over 20.

I loved the original trail teams wheels. They were a basic perfect fit. I also like the following ones as well that were on the TT/RW.

Good to know, thanks. I'll then plan on building around 18's...

Any suggestions on an excellent tire for the road as well as light duty trails?

I have Nitto G2's on my truck and love the look, ride and they balance well. I run them at 34psi for daily driving, 60 psi when towing, and down to 14 psi off-road. It is an E rated tire good up to 80psi, but is very comfortable and quite.

Gloss black as along as there is some machined accented or silver and only on a black truck only way they look good imo

Around a week, they were pretty stoked leading up to Christmas, usually 3-4 days I believe

i do agree that less tire to rim is going to be rougher and i'm not trying to start a huge debate about it, but after having 16's then 18's on my tacoma and 20's on the tundra i drive now i never got the impression that my truck is significantly rougher or worse offroad. i found the difference marginal going up 2" of rim at a time.
it's my daily driver i spend a lot of time offroad during hunting season as well.
as for tires i really like the traction of my bfg all-terrain ko2's but they definitely flick stones.

I'm a big fan of the gloss black. I've had both and keeping the wheel clean is much easier with the gloss. Just depends on personal preference though.

Gloss. Flat makes it look too much like they were rattle-canned to cover up the rock-rash.
