I'm happy with mine, I just hate my aftermarket headlights reflectors. I may go to retro hid projectors one day.

Jam a bit of paper between the dash and the windshield on the passenger side.

They will. If I do a retro it'll be on my aftermarket housings.

you did the 100w in your truck? was the headlights ground switched or no.. i think they are based off the wiring diagram

I used the universal power switched premium plus wiring harness
    http://www.headlightservices.com/Wiring.html
I disabled my dtrls by unplugging the harness between the battery and the fender.
I had to troubleshoot my harness because two of the blades were reversed, causing my hi and low beam to both run when set to low and just hi beam on high. Took 5 minutes to diagnose and fix, but not before it blew up my first set of 95/100w osrams. But the guy sent me new bulbs free after helping me troubleshoot.

I used to think those would be cool til I drove a company f350 with it for a carpentry shop and it was annoying. Especially if I was just making a drop off/pick up to our workers at specific sites where I wasn't allowed out of the truck by OSHA. I always forgot to unlock it. Or the worst was if I had something heavy in my hands and the key fob was in my pocket and I needed to open the tail gate

Tried that already. It's gonna require something thicker, but not something that looks stupid sticking up. I think the thread Darkness found will help.

If you need something thicker, maybe one of those backer rod foam rolls - they come quite thin & are dark.

Anybody else deal with wind noise at highway speeds? It seems like it's coming from the driver side rear door, almost as if the door wasn't closed all the way or the window was cracked tiny bit.

I'm wondering if a set of rain guards would deflect the wind above the door joints and reduce the noise.

Should I apply the Noico around the speaker or remove the plastic sheet and go inside the door?

Lightly/gently lift bottom plastic section up off the butyl bead. Reach hand/arm inside and apply deadener to outer door skin. Push plastic back down and rub butyl bead. The plastic is important to keep for sound and moisture control.

Rain guards make more noise at highway speed from my experience. I have the Weather techies ones and they are good quality. I have kept them because they keep that rain/moisture/dew drip from coming inside when the window is slightly cracked. Its a slight noise with them, but not annoying and the advantages outweigh.

My opinion is you have some gasket problems. Clean them up with soapy water. Refluff them. Using some rubber restore on them. Clean your doors were the gaskets meet, as well. Maybe your inside plastic liner is failing inside door?

I actually removed the plastic on mine. At least in the front doors anyway. I picked up a sheet of coroplast from Lowes and cut it to fit.

@Outbound check the gaps between the door/body going up towards the roof. My driver's door was significantly larger and the seal was barely making contact.

My Dad deals with a local body shop and the guy said he sees it a lot on the older Tundras, his opinion was the doors are too heavy for the hinges and things get out of alignment. Not sure what he did but both sides are near equal now and there's no where near as much wind noise.

Good call on this. Reminds me that I tightened up all the doors hinge bolts last year, as well. 10mm?

Per those gaskets: They can get nasty over time and a good cleaning makes all the difference. I used PB silicone spray and a few Aerospace 303 wipings and the rubber perks right back up. A little plump will do ya. In this pic, I cured a back corner leak with Fuze caulking.

It's quieter for sure, but I used the noico stuff and covered all the holes the first time around, so I can't compare to having kept the plastic lining. The doors have a nice solid thunk when closed.

I also have pretty awful hearing. o_O

I had that one after someone left the door fly open from a wind gust.

Had to work some magic on door by loosening/tightening. Got her back in tolerances and made a final adjust on the gasket using a little bit of backer rod sliver to fluff the curved part of door gasket near the grab handle.

No more whistle when at highway speed and cross winds gusting.
