Took my son (home from college) touring highways in GA the last 2 days hunting down Tundras. We went from Augusta (East) to Smyrna (ATL), then to Carrolton (west), Milledgeville (mid GA) and Finally ended in Brunswick (south). We covered nearly 800 miles the last two days, but finally found a true gem. We got an impeccably kept, dealer serviced, clean car fax 2015 SR5 XPS-X with 81k miles for 26k, ended up just over 29k OTD with taxes and fees in GA. This thing is so nice, I'm thinking about trading in my '18 Platinum for one. Problem is I can't find one...wife suggested I take his ;-) 59925941521__734975DC-C1C8-4D09-9C15-E2B51F360473.jpg 59925953736__B75047CA-F15F-4CE9-8AD6-E55085A1E048.jpg 59925948675__A4A4E4D2-80F9-489D-9534-00BC872BFCB5.jpg 59925944243__E4FED9A9-F000-46D0-B3B8-6CF90F5ED20E.jpg

Cool truck but I don’t know if I’d trade a platinum for an SR5 with a couple upgrades.
    Congrats to your son.

What is the XSP-X model? What options does that model come with? Looks very sharp. But I like black trucks.

It was an appearance package in the southeast for an SR5. The outside includes the predator steps, fenders flares, billet grill, and it's own 20" wheels. You can also see the LED lightbars on the front just below the headlights (really cool). Inside the leather seats and XSP badging on the seats , illuminated XSP on the door sills, and carbon fiber trim on the doors and around the dash.

Yeah, it makes the search harder when looking for a particular color too.

I'm thinking the real score was spending all that time with your boy. I'm betting it will be the last time you get to be with each other one on one.

    You are blessed.

Thank you, you are very right. We will always remember the two days of chasing down Tundras all across Georgia and my son, in addition to be a great person, is a D1 baseball player. Once he gets back to school we won't see him much for the next few years with the season, followed by summer ball, return to school, maybe the draft, etc. Really wanted to do this for him (and mostly me). And I've converted him from Ford to Tundra. He has already created a handle and has been asking questions about lifting his truck on Tundras.com.

Bonding time. My son-in-law and I recently spent a couple days looking at used cars, he ended up with a nice '17 Camry.

There isn't a Tundra for sale online in 250 mile radius that my son and I hadn't seen. We did that, and called to ask questions before we went to see a truck as well. Problem is you show up and drive one and the previous owner somehow stained the leather in a 2016(salesman says will clean up, but it won't), there are horrible scratches not visible in pics (salesman says will buff out, but it won't), or the vehicle has a shutter in the front end,(salesman says it's just offroad tires, but it isn't) etc. Plus, I want to look at the rear diff and cam tower myself.

The salesmen, especially if they're a non-Toyota dealer, know nothing about these trucks. Every salesman that we took for a test drive, was immediately shocked at how large the cabin and backseat are. It became an inside joke with my son and I, and we would laugh every time we heard, "wow, this is a big backseat, i could sleep back here" from the salesman who would then try to tell us about the truck. The one difference was when my son called to ask if the one we purchased was still available, the salesman told him, "wait until you see it, you're going to love it." But, he was still shocked how well he could fit in the backseat at 6'6".
