I want to add the Toyota OEM LED Headlights to my 2016 Tundra SR5. I can purchase the OEM headlights from different dealers, easy peasy.

However, there are at least 3 different folks selling the OEM headlight conversion harnesses (ihacker, HR and ebay that a lot of folks have used). Are they all about the same or is there some big difference in them? The one I saw on ebay that folks are using is about half the cost of the HR and ihacker. I am not interested in "fan boys" or "supporting" people" because they are members on here. I just want facts. Thanks. If there are no differences, I would buy the ebay version. Prices mean something.

@iHacker harness is top notch and he’s always on top to help people out. Even if you didn’t buy his harness he will go out of his way to help. I wouldn’t go any other way!

I am actually leaning toward ihacker after reading his long thread on the subject. I like not having to move the pins for the turn signal (HR requires that). I don't think I want to do the DRL dimming option though--it looks like way too much work.

@iHacker wiring is well worth the $$. Dimming function isn’t too hard. Worst part for me was making a hole in the rubber nipple going through the firewall.

    @iHacker

He uses OEM connectors and the correct gauge wiring. As well as the turn signal adaptors are plug and play.

For those reasons alone its worth the cost, and not all that expensive, him being a member here is a plus, since he usually replies quickly if you have any issues or need assistance.

That’s what I said about the the DRL dimming option “way to much work “ but I got drl dimming from @iHacker and was super easy to install couldn’t believe it! And I’m not good or like dealing with electrical stuff. Lol.

I just used iHacker’s harness for LED headlight upgrades. I would recommend his harness. Simple install and smooth buying transaction.

Anybody here use the non-dimmer option and had people flash you at night for too bright of lights? I guess technically it could be illegal to run the non-dimmer option.

ihacker it is then for me. The ebay one may use cheap stuff and the wrong gauge wire for all I know. Not worth the risk for me.

The next topic is what color of OEM LED lights to get: chrome, smoked or TRD Pro black. LOL. I sort of like the idea of keeping my truck looking stock (no TRD Pro Grill for me), so the chrome option I guess does that best.

@RDRunner Hi there, I'm looking at doing the same dimming conversion on my 17 SR5 to 19 Pro lights. Did you get a part number when you ordered from @iHacker ? Does one harness kit cover 14-17 SR5's with no existing LED's?
    Thanks!

I just installed the iHacker dimming harness last week and it was very simple. Everything is well thought out, and OEM quality. The instructions may seem tedious but its only because he goes into detail in each step.

people dont just support him because he’s a member, his product and service is top notch. :hattip::thumbsup:

I got an ebay harness for around $40. It has worked perfectly for a couple months now

Great to hear, thanks @vegas4x4 . I sent him a PM. Where did you buy your 19 lights from? My wife got me a gift card to Trdsparks but I can always use that for another mod :D

    Another vote for @iHacker

I used the non-dimming harness and love it. Super easy.

I took advantage of free shipping via @Roman (Toyota of Cool Springs) on black friday. The upgrade was well worth every penny.

id recommend doing the dimming option because the DRL is very bright at night.
