Guys I'm changing my oil for the first tim and I think the oil drain plug gasket is stuck. In the picture. Is that the gasket or is there a raised metal lip on the oil pan? I don't wanna pry at I and have I be a part of the oil pan and break it.

It's a gasket. Take a flathead to it and it should come out.

+1. As omgboost said, 'gently' "bump" it off with a flathead carefully laid at a nearly 90 degree angle relative to the gasket/oil pan (so you don't gouge the pan of course). Should pop off really easy. Luck and enjoy those Toyotas. : ^ )))

Why is the undercarriage of your truck coated in white goop?

Looks like someone blew a Seal :)

Also as messy as that stuff can be. I am amazed with it so far. Been on 3 months. Through rain, puddles, snow etc and none of it has come off

Couldn't hurt haha. I'm glad I was able to do it as soon as I got the truck before winter and all the nasty shit they put on the roads here in Ohio.

Luckily I'm in a dry, cold state so generally rust is not ever a problem. My truck has made it 19 years with just a little surface rust on the frame, but may need help to make it another 19.

Serves you right for changing your engine oil "under the influence". :D

No real reason to change that washer if it is not damaged. If mine get stuck like that I just leave it in place and re-use it. Never had a problem doing that.

I actually just ended up reusing it. They gave me a black washer at the dealership and when I went to crank it to 30 ft lbs. It split. So I'm assuming they changed the washer type. The new one was a more metal with a rubber coating so I'm just gonna keep using that one until I can find the blue ones.

I put 8.5 quarts in like it said when changing filter. Damn that 0w-20 is hard to see on the dipstick.

Your new truck warranty is now void due to removal of blue gasket. :D

Bergmen is right, reusable for a couple of times. Torque it and watch for drips. Here you go, about 5-10 years supply:

Put oil on both sides of the new gasket. It will keep I from sticking to the oil pan on the next oil change.

Got it already going to do it as soon as I'm out of the 25k service. I'll still get 2 free oil changes at 10 and 20k miles. And those dummies would probably be throw it away if they saw it.
