I like a lot of colors really. I'm planning to paint my 70 beetle in the same cement gray that you used, then swap the seat covers to oxblood red. The interior is painted black already so I'll leave that alone for extra pop on the red.

speaking of interiors, how do you think black perforated leather would look on the door panels of these trucks?

Funny you say that, because that pic doesn't look military green to me, it looks like a metallic olive...which looks great.

Looking forward to seeing what you do. I like that you use OEM parts, I appreciate the subtle mods the most.

im that weird guy that likes mods. but i also like them to blend in. even lightbars i install for friends you'd be hard pressed to think the harness i make wasnt OEM.

I've done a bit of the same on my GTI, mostly using oem upgrade parts from other VW/Audi/Seat makes. Never really thought to do that on my Tundra.

Trying to figure out this camera I got for Christmas. The instructions were written by someone in China.

Apparently there is a reverse wire behind the head unit I can tie into? I don't have much experience with this.

Annual paint correction and detail is finally complete, fluid filmed too. Also took out all the seats and center console for the interior clean, took out the crusted/cracked cup holder flap deals, looks much better now.

For the other detailers in the group, here’s some of what I’ve landed on after years of playing with different stuff - always looking for new suggestions:

CarPro Perl (Tires), Bare Bones (Wheel Wells), Eco Wash (Weekly Cleaning), 3D speed (Annual Correction), CG Leather Conditioner (Interior Pieces for a Leather Smell)

    Now for LBJ’s...

I'm looking at new tires and torn because all of the tires I really like are load range E. How rough is the ride really on our trucks with 10 ply tires? My truck is my daily driver with 4-5 off road trips a year. Mostly I just want a good looking aggressive tire.

Well done. This is what a white truck should look like. Tired of seeing all these white 1st Gens that look like a piece of chalk.

Sadly Toyota’s white paint is good for it.

They have no clear coat. My fathers 02 taco needs a repaint it’s gotten so bad

I learned about the single stage paint job earlier this year. I was able to remove most of the oxidation using the steps I found online. Most people just aren't willing to spend a day to fix it. It's not hard.

Did you get a new HU? The HU should have a wire that connects to the signal wire on the RC input for the camera. You should watch this whole video...but I linked it at 5:30 to explain exactly what you are asking about. I bought that same camera, so interested to hear how it works for you.

Thanks. I'm buying the head unit soon. Wiring stuff is a major weakness of mine. I wired my single din stereo but beyond that I'm lost. I didn't have to cut any existing wires for that.

I love both iridescent and metallic colors. What type sheen will you be trying to achieve? I really like matte finishes, but that doesn’t make iridescent pop.

Which tires are you looking at? I have K02's but I went with C load range. Before that I had Hankook Dynapros E rated. They rode fine.

This was in the works for a while. I see people add these racks all over their vehicles, but I wanted one where it was actually accessible.

I mounted several pieces of aluminum tubing between the headliner and roof to hold this in place. I got in touch with Orange Boxx Fabrication to make the rack in the needed specs.
