Thank you all for the welcome. I recently came across this forum and it seems like a very friendly place.

I am located about 90 miles north of Pittsburgh (closer to Erie). Lots of snow due to the lake.

I'm about 45 miles east of Pittsburgh in Latrobe, home of Arnold Palmer and once Rolling Rock Beer. No snow here, just lots of rain.

    Thanks.

bakers, you guys are spared some heavy snow, being far enough away from the lake. We have a little break now, but we are expected to get snow on Tuesday.

By the way, how does one attach a picture in the signature? Is there any way to upload it directly from your computer?

I'm kind of new to the forums as far as posting goes so I'm not quite sure what you mean by signature. You can attach a photo to your post from your computer as long as you have the photo saved to a file. All you have to do is click on the "upload a file" button at the bottom right corner. A window will open were you can browse your files and then attach it to the post. Hope this helps cause I am not very computer literate.

Great looking ride. If I can ask, what make/model are the wheels?

Thanks for the complement. My wheels are Moto Metal 961. They have two different models, one in chrome and one in black. Also the accent piece can either be red or chrome.

So I looked up the wheels and they are a +18 offset compared to the stock +60 wheels. From comparison charts they will push the tires out about 1.75"? Is that the reason for the flares?

Thank you for the welcome from fellow PA member. Are you enjoying the snow and weather?

With respect to the wheel/fender flares question, you also have to add 1/2 inch more because of the width of the wheel is 1 inch wider than the stock wheels.

In my case, I went the other way around. I really liked the look of the pocket style fender flares. So i got the wheels to match the flares, so to speak. Currently I am waiting for my tires (Nitto Trail Grappler) to arrive that will match the whole set up. My fender flares turned out to be the most expensive mod. :D

Finally, after driving with the OME lift on stock tires for what felt like ages (actually less than a year), I got new rubber. Nitto Trail Grappler 295/70/18. Wow, what a difference. Now I could drive through 2 ft of snow without spinning the tire.SS Tire.jpgSS 1.jpg SS 2.jpg

So, how is the chrome holding up to the road salt? How many winters on them? I haven't bought wheels yet but I may just go with the same style but in the black finish due to the long salty months and then I don't have to keep another set of tires. Do like the chrome look though.

Chrome is holding up great after three salty winters. During the winter, all I do is wax the wheels, then apply couple of additional coats of wax. I guess I could use a set of winter wheels, but I am too lazy, haha.
