ATF ws fluid id help

this looks different than every pic I’ve seen online. Is this genuine Toyota oem fluid? The box came open with 6 qts. Squ is 071924003361.

 

World Standard stuff...I think...descent stuff but not "factory " stuff in US...

 

Not sure myself. I purchased this as true oem Toyota fluid. the pic on the ad had the oem pic on it but I received this instead.

 

What the part number on the bottle? Google that sh!t.

Every pic I’ve seen looks completely different than this. Unless Toyota recently changed the look I’m not sure.

 

There is so much counterfeiting going on I wouldn't use anything unless I bought it for the dealer. It doesn't look like anything I've seen at the dealership.

That's the stuff we use at the dealership. I've poured out hundreds of the stuff.

 

If your nervous about the stuff bring it in to your local dealership and ask them if they've seen the stuff. The picture I showed you is what we use in Canada.

 

What’s strange is that the box was open. If the packaging on the bottles is legit though I’d say it’s fine. Lots of identifying numbers in these pictures I just took..

Well based on that info, if the security lock isn't broken you should be OK.

 

Im just going to return this to Amazon. And go to the dealer. Not worth to me to put in questionable stuff. Thanks for the info

 

They changed the packaging recently. Like 3-4 months ago.

 

That's what I would do. It's just not worth chancing your transmission.

Can you share which part number or vendor it came from on Amazon? That way others won’t get hosed if it actually is fake.

auto parts champ is the vendor. Not sure if it’s oem or not , but it looks nothing like the ad.

 

I picked up a case in store about a month ago and it looks exactly like this.

The cardboard carton is dated 2017 and trust me anybody looking to counterfeit something would find something that would generate more profit than a case of ATF.

 

Notice how one is in a 1 quart bottle and the other in a 1 Liter bottle. Hmmmm. Call me suspicious.

I've going to buy my highly priced ATF WS from my buddies at the dealer that get me mechanics discounts (20% is the standard). Woohoo!

Awesome! This is what’s I needed to know. When you are used to something and the item you buy look totally different you tend to worry. Especially white all the counterfeit stuff going around

 

I just received my purchase today from Amazon the seller. Toyota of North Miami Parts.

I would avoid buying from the seller Toyota_Parts_Universe They sent me the wrong fluid all-together

 

So if this is the fluid you received it is real Toyota WS. I thought it was not right but fellow member confirmed it.
