Organized wiring

When you guys are adding all your lights, inverters, etc., how are you keeping your wiring/relays organized? Are you mounting everything on a panel? Got photos? I am getting ready to add a second battery (under my bed), a handful of light bars and ditch lights, as well as 2 inverters (one in cab, one in shell). I am OCD about wiring in a vehicle and want to see what others are doing. What are you doing for switches in the cab?

For switches I’m using a switch pro system cause at the moment I have 2 for my front bumper lights (3 white pods, 2 amber pods), ditch lights, rear chase light. The switch pro system is also cool since you can run it from a phone app and dim lights, make them flash, strobe. Just thought it was a neat feature although you do pay for it

 

Here's what I'm working on for wiring right now.

The black relay box (center of the image) is water proof. It has 6 circuits, each with a fuse and a relay. The terminal block on the driver-side (bottom) goes to the dash switches and the one behind (right) goes to the accessories.

Position 1 for the switch terminal controls power to position 1 on the power terminal, etc. The color for each accessory power wire matches the color for its switch wire.

The red shared power bus (top) on the passenger side is now protected with a maxi fuse. It distributes power to each fused circuit.

I wish there was a similar fuse block with more circuits, but this one is pretty good for now.

I used the same relay box and a similar buss block and have been very happy with the set up.

I've used Blue Sea fuse blocks in the engine bay on my Tacoma and 4runner with their 100A fuse with no issues. Planning to do the same when I have time with my Tundra.

I bought a WFRB from Concours Specialties. Now I'm thinking about building an ABS plastic mounting bracket to sit on top of the fuse box. I'm one of those OEM look and feel guys.

Anyone have a scratch kit or link on finding something to bolt over the OEM fuse box?

 

Looks like Concours has some really nice options. If I didn't already have my wiring set up I think that I would give them a shot. I like that their panels have several circuits with a mix relay/non-relay in the same board.

 

i use a switchpros for lights and compressor. using the sdhq panel mount along with their mount for the main unit. i have a blue sea 6 slot fuse block for cb and ham that is currently attached to secondary battery. inverter, fridge and a few other items are wired to the solar battery in the bed.

 

Thanks. I'll see if my 2012 has those mounting holes and I may use the SDHQ mounting system.
