I live in California so cat less is a no go unfortunately. I think I'm going to get a jba collector because they cut the flange on my Y pipe. I just hope my insurance deducible isn't too high, because this sucks especially during this holiday week. :(

    Sorry to hear it man.
I was assuming theirs went bad, never thought of scrappers.
At least they did a neat job of it, didn't mess up other stuff in the area.

But damn. Sorry guy. Good luck w/ insurance co.

I was thinking that cig light is too bright, but you addressed that. My eyes can't take bright dash lights at night. I had a couple of Saabs that had a button on the dash - killed all lights but hazard button & speedo up to 65. if you went over 65 the rest of the speedo would light up. All these LED dashes look pretty, but definitely not for this guy.

About that replacement dash face - is that a place over unit or a replace unit? I've only worked with place over units (Saab again) & if it's that style, you'll still have your green. FWIW.

Man this sucks. I'm sorry. I wonder if a decent car alarm would have picked up on this and gone off... They picked your truck because it's easy to crawl under.

This and hearing of other Toyota cars being cut out makes me wonder if it's just Toyota cats or are all of them worth money. I've got a y-pipe off my 92 SHO just sitting around...

Did we ever find a solution for the dark spot around 60-70mph? I know others reported the same issue.

Pictures don't really show it as well.

Just curious are you speaking of the light weight aluminum "Skid Plate" ?
Mine came with front skid plate and the heavier oil pan plate. Have both off now and very much considering finding someone that could use them because have decided I don't wish to put them back, especially the skid plate.

That bubble wrap makes for some really nice ground matting for working under the truck. Instantly reflects heat back to the body and allows smooth transition break dance moves under the chassis. I scored some a few years ago for free and its holding well for all the use its received.

Thought about using it inside the cabin for the hood cab liner for reflective purposes. Heat back in winter. Heat reflected out in summer.

Bummer man. I remember hearing stories about people doing this with our brand new(ish) trucks back in the early 2000’s. But still?

Are you in the IE? That was a pretty big problem there for years. Might not be good to drive much on it, that's a real bummer.

Get a new bar from a junkyard, cut the tabs off and have new tabs welded on. You wont get it back to straight with a hammer, even if you get close the metal might just be fatigued.

Not under the motor, just the one that goes from the front bumper to the beam that the front arm bushings bolt to. More of a radiator cover than a skid plate.

It was a big thing in the Riverside area, these trucks were getting hit all the time. My neighbor and a friend both got theirs stolen, one while he was at work at a Christian school.

@dirtydeeds you dont happen to have a spare stock y pipe?

Does dirtydeeds sell cats? I saw for the bolt on exhaust they can include normal cats. My insurance deductible is 1000 so Ima have to just pay it. I was looking at a walker one. I dont really want to spend 1000 on a toyota one

Pro tip, wife worked in insurance. To lower your deductable to $500 is usually very cheap. Almost always worth it to pick $500 vs $1,000.

The jap cats are worth way more than American Cats. Chevy/ford/Chrysler cars are 20-40 bucks. Jap cats typically start around 60 and some (Prius) can be 220 for scrap

Man... this truck is like 3” too long to fit in the 2nd bay of my garage. And of course that’s where I need it to be to get the tractor and plow in the garage.
