What have you done to your 1st gen Tundra today?

That’s a preskid, probably paid extra, then no one will call it a mall crawler before he gets a real skid mark on it

 

Ok front and oil skids installed. Taking a break. Still have trans and transfer case skids to do.

I wish I had a 2nd set of hands. That was a bitch

 

Thinking it's gunna be time to throw on these wheel spacers once I get access to an impact

 

Would probably be the time to do the ECGS mod too huh?

DO NOT BUY NEW AFTERMARKET AXLES, they are of inferior design (tulip on the inner and cv on the outer joint) oem or remans are best. (Cv on both ends, leds bind)

 

I'll buy the OEM axles once you swap em with new ones.

 

Use a floor jack to hold the plate up. Pump it until theres just a bit of room between frame and plate, then just align and bolt it up.

 

I installed the backup camera mirror today and ran the wires down to the kick panel. I'm going to try and wire everything up between Christmas and New Years. My original dimming mirror was in bad shape as well -

I haven't done them on my tundra, but when I replaced them on my T100 it was actually pretty easy, and I think they are the same design. PB blaster and a bottle jack. It was fun when they would break loose and launch

 

Got a super cute cat hole shovel at sportsmans today while last minute shopping and prepping for a backpacker. should be a good addition and it will fit in the cab if needed

Old security system? Whole car radar detector (.my Audi had one). Tracker? Can be many things. Follow the wires and see where she goes

 

No other markings. has an in-line fuse and was tapped into three wires in one of the harnesses...

 

I'll look at the wiring diagram and see what the wires are tied into; that may help solve this.
oh, and it doesn't go anywhere else...this is all that is left.

 

We're going back a couple years but that looks like something that would have been included with a cell phone install in a vehicle. You know back when people actually called everyone

 

If you feel like selling that OEM harness for the old one please let me know!

 

I forgot to mention my real concern... Smashed this bad boy on a rock last trip to the off road park. I wish I had a lift so I could swing a big fuckin hammer to it

Maybe its an AC vs. DC thing? My 05 Limited has the one he has but im a DC.
