Can’t remember exactly but pretty sure. Your picture and size of that bulb looks like it will fit using the Shams. Only button light I wasn’t able to replace was the Fog ON switch button which possesses the smallest bulb in the world. Thing is so small. I pulled the green rubber off and the light tripled. Now the button lights up a nice red color, where before it looked like it was burned out as it possessed no light.

See I’m not such a bad guy.

My Autozoned manager guy recco’d these to me last year. He is pretty dialed in on all things cars/trucks (like us here). Some of the other guys that work there and can’t find the oil aisle?

The pictures make the white light seem brighter at night. I don’t like bright lights inside when driving but I do want to see my devices operating and properly lit while driving. The OEM stereo lights where driving me nuts due to over powering the other lights and became a distraction. Sharpie took care of that.

Now, my dome and map lights I want super bright and white for finding stuff just in case a bad guy is hiding I can see him.

Just picked my truck up from the shop. Had the timing belt changed (along with a bunch of other stuff). It was definitely time.

Mechanic suspects this was the original belt, water pump, etc. Ready to go...

Wow! Bled the brake lines. The rear wheels fluid was not too bad. The front pass side was gnarly as pictured. The top pic is the first purging. The bottom is the second surge. In totality, for all 4 wheels, I purged/replaced about 20-24 oz. in the system (about 4 oz. per wheel and 6 oz. out of reservoir).

Does that amount sound right for a total flush?

I think that's about what I got out last time. I filled up around 2/3 of a 32 oz Gatorade bottle. Good work.

I'm not really a risk taker.
Just bought the truck 2 months ago.
Decided to take it into the shop and have it looked over.
I now know that the previous owner was... less than honest about the service history.

Good thing about the 1st Gens is that they can take some neglect on the engines. Keep on top of things (that most shops neglect to perform) like cleaning the throttle body/MAF sensor, changing out PCV Valve, consistent refresh on transmission fluids, Asian fluid in radiator, etc.

Finished off the brake bled service with some bleeder screw covers made for vacuum lines. Should have bought the next size up as these were a little tight (anyone?).

Also, pulled the rear drivers drum for inspection and discovered diff oil. Saw a drip from underneath the hub axle cap thingy. Cleaned it off and waited. Put the wheel back on and went driving in a right hand circle for 5 minutes in the neighborhood. Came back and pulled the wheel and confirmed the bearing job still leaks. Called shop owner to inform. Will know more tomorrow on strategy as I want it done right this next time. We’ll talk more tomorrow even if they have to pay for a specialist to do it for me (thats my strategy).

I've seen so many online struggle with the axle seal/wheel bearing job. What makes it so difficult? Another guy had to visit 3 shops. Ive heard they press the seal on too far.

Well I watched a youtube and so I’m an expert now! Hahaha

That Timmeh Toy guy seems to think that the bearing needs pressing all the way down. He thinks (and shows) that the critical area is that ring that goes behind the ABS/Speed Sensor thingy on the axle. It needs to be spot on or the Seal inside the axle doesn’t mate up when the axle is reinstalled, thus the leak.

I minded my own business when my mechanic did his job. He didn’t measure anything. Not sure, but this needs a specialist at this point.

Yep. Aside from the transmission fluid, I just had all those things addressed at the same time as the timing belt. Basically base-lining this truck so that I can keep it healthy for as long as possible.

Been learning a lot by lurking around on this forum. Thanks to many of you here who provide great and detailed information on repair and maintenance items.

Its amazing how many little things it takes to snap an older vehicle back into shape. I’ve spent about a good year on my truck on things a mechanic/shop would never do, or would cost a fortune done by others. The outstanding members here have been very helpful to me.

Fortunately, our trucks can take abuse and will last a long time so its worth doing these items. Other vehicles reach a point of disposability and the effort is not worth it, sadly.

Just crawled under the truck and tightened the rear brake cable under the drivers side.

Now all the all is out of the cables!

Then used the brake pedal to auto adjust the rear drums (and it actually worked!).

Only five or six clicks on the ebrake pedal till it stops.

Brake pedal feels better (stiff) when I got the brakes now with the pads adjusted.
