Hey all, I've searched on here and on YouTube.

Does anyone have any audio/video clips of the Dirtydeeds 10" system WITH the resonator installed? I've heard lots without.
    Thanks in advance!

I have the DD 10” without the resonator. It sounds perfect without a resonator. Not loud at all with the windows rolled up. The truck sounds great when first starting it up. very mellow sound at normal driving. Punch it, and sound is awesome. Try it without the resonator. you can always add it on later.

I've had Keith's 10" system with resonator for several years. I could try to upload a recording but they never do these systems justice. We tow every year and we're in our 60's. The 10 inch BA is 'informative' as well as really classy sounding. One thing to remember, if you're not happy with how one of these exhausts sound,Keith will exchange it,till you are.

Indeed. Sound guarentee is awesome, though, you do have to cover any shipping costs. If you're local to him then there's no reason not to try it.

Would love to hear it! By "informative" do you mean annoying?

I have one too. It really isn’t that loud inside with the resonator. I’m not sure if a recording would pick it up over the noise of my tires.

The 10 inch is amazing imo, it is just loud enough to know you have an exhaust but you don’t hear it at all when cruising

Thanks for your reply! What about low speeds, running through residential areas?

Hearty rumble. It’s very tame Inside the cab. I got it so that i can take the family on road trips and not annoy the wife. She doesn’t want to hear it

I don't have a resonator on mine, yet, and low speeds (less than 50 mph) it's very tame if you don't romp it. Just has a pleasant rumble to it. I almost wish I had gotten an 8" system instead of the 10", so that is why I've left off the resonator, but I am sure that will change when I tow anything.

By informative I mean just that. The exhaust helps me hear when the Torque Converter is locking/unlocking. It helps me know which gear is best, for a particular speed load and conditions, especially while towing.

I started with a 7" and swapped for a 10" 3 years later, both systems have/had the Helmholtz resonator installed.
7" pretty much sounded like an 8", but at 57 years old, it got to be a tad loud.
Wife never bitched about the 7", but there was some eye rolling when I stepped on it.

Keith had no problem swapping it for the 10", I paid shipping both ways of course.
I'm very happy with the 10".
The 7" had a bit of rasp when I got on it a little, the 10" doesn't, which is what I want.

@CMB is correct, you can listen to videos of people reving up mufflers and they are worthless.
Nothing compares to hearing it while driving in person.
The resonator kills the drone, period.

Although as others suggested, I would buy the system with the res, try it without the res first for a month, and then either install it or ship it back to Keith for a refund.

I researched improving the exhaust on my 2007 for almost 2 years, I read many comments and listened to a couple videos. 99% of the videos don't capture the real sound, but they do give you an idea of how it sounds. I considered a few different brands, but I kept coming back to BAMuffler because they offered the best design. Keith and I exchanged many messages and we spoke on the phone a few time before coming up with a custom 3 muffler design for my RCSB.

    IMG_7650.jpg

When cruising, the system is quieter than the modified stock muffler it replaced... the new system makes several different wonderful sounds when driving more aggressively, but it's never obnoxious. Like a track car it burbles when downshifting / decelerating, and sometimes pops, it also purrs (sometimes loudly) like my old GTO did when I dipped in & out of the gas, and it sounds angry at wide open throttle. I don't have the recording equipment to capture all of this, one would have to ride along to experience it.

*The rear leaf packs on my truck are hung under the axle so I had to cut 24" off the tail pipe to clear them, this explains the burble & popping sounds. I am not using the resonator at this time, it created a booming sound that was also attributed to the shorter tail pipe. I installed a blocking plate in it's place.

    IMG_7651.jpg

In a nutshell: The addition of this custom BAMuffler system has enhanced the driving experience I desired from this truck, I just want to keep driving it... the sounds and added performance are intoxicating.

0411191259[2566].jpg The only improvement I've made to my 10" BA Exhaust,0424191331[3041].jpg is to have a Corsa style tip (with proper tailpipe angle) welded onto my 2010.

That looks great, I really like that dual tip and how well it’s angled. Was that just the Corsa tip or another brand?

It was a Corsa "style" tip I got from Summit Racing. Identical to Corsa's tip without the name-stamp and $45.00 less!:eek2::D Same double walled construction and high quality stainless features. They offer it in black too. I did have to return the first one because of a dent on the top but Summit was great and made sure the replacement passed my "OCD" standards!

I'm running an 8 inch sans resonater. There's some days I wish it was a 6 inch, lol. But without resonater it drones from 50-70 then gets quieter than stock. I run over 70 anytime on the highway. And it don't drone louder than my stereo...

I meant sound wise? Which one is the equivalent or slightly louder? I agree Keith is great. I’ve done business before with him

The 10 is closer in noise level to the TRD exhaust. The 8 inch Dirty Deeds is louder and has more bottom end, less top end.

Thanks everyone for your responses on this. I placed an order for the 10" with resonator. Pumped and looking forward to it! Will drop a review once I get her bolted up.

I have the 10 with the res and love it.
Try running it without the resonator for a couple weeks and see if you like it, some are happy without it.
If it has too much drone for you, install the resonator.
If you like it without the res, I'm sure Keith will take it back for a refund, although you'll have to pay for return shipping.

    Good luck.

Just know he makes a cover for the cut out for the resonator so technically you can choose to run with or without at any time :)

I put an order in for the 10" yesterday after talking with Keith. I really like the sound of the TRD dual exhaust but would rather have the BAmuffler set up. I am just wondering if I should have went with the 8? I don't do any towing and drive a ton with my wife and kids. I guess I don't want to spend all this money and not notice the exhaust. Sorry if this is a dumb question, is the 10" something I will definitely be able to notice? And do you think the 8' would be too loud? Thanks for any input/thoughts.

I have the 10" with resonator on. In the beginning, I wish I went with 8" but am happy with the 10" with resonator because I drive my wife and kids as well. You definitely can tell it's there but not anything annoying at all. IMO, the perfect setup.

Also note, if you use put the resonator on and sometimes want it a little bit louder, Keith does make a plate to bolt on over the hole so you can take off the resonator ;)
