Cleghorn Ridge is normally an easy trail that can be done in a 2WD truck with decent clearance. With the snow and ice present 4WD and a good tire would be a wise choice. There are many optional side roads that are of moderate and extreme difficulty that I opted not to take on this trip. The views of the surrounding area are astounding and this trail is a lot of fun with some snow on it. This trail can be reached from the Cleghorn Road exit on I-15 a few miles south of Cajon Junction.

There's a discontinuity in the video due to the power cable for my dash camera getting disconnected at some point.

Last picture is beautiful. Thanks for sharing. How'd you mount the fire extinguisher on the rail?

It seems as though this year will be wet, unlike the last several winters. Based on all of the storms that we're getting you probably have quite a while before it goes away. It didn't get much above the freezing point on the higher parts of the trail.

    You're welcome.

I had some left over fasteners from the tonneau cover that I recently threw out. I'll take some pictures of it tomorrow if you're interested. I also have more pictures of the trail posted up on my blog.

Yeah, I can actually see the San Bernardino mountains from my house and they are covered with snow. We had another massive storm last night that coated them pretty good again.

Sure. Post some pics when time permits. Doesn't hurt to learn something new. Thanks!

    Nice vids

This is definitely my neck of the woods. I live 15 mins away from there. I haven't had a chance to hit up cleghorn yet but I've heard it's a good trail. With all that snow I'm going to have to check it out asap.

Here are some pictures. This thread on TacomaWorld is also very useful for mounting stuff to the bed rails.

Do it, do it now! And don't forget to post up some pictures as well.
