First time towing with the Pro. The truck being towed got more thumbs up than the Tundra. LOL.

Nice find, John, and PLEASE throw some pix up after you’ve done the detailing! Plenty on here who want to see that puppy cleaned up!

    Good luck, brother!

So glad I went with the Armory. Hopefully they will be in within a week. Your truck looks so awesome.

Bench getting reupholstered right now. Wheels and tires ordered. Fighting hard to not pull the trigger but I’m probably gonna do a color change.

    Please keep it original.
IMG_2790.jpg I'm still running the OEM 15x6" wheels!
And they are stamped 15x6 not 15x5.5 actually. :smack:

    theyr are actually 15x5.5

I ended up getting a set of 15x8 US wheels wrapped in 31x10.5 BFG KO2s

I’m probably going to leave the paint alone for a while, see if I get any buyers. If not then I’m gonna go full ham on a paint job.

still unsure if I like the shell or not. Some days I like it, others I want to remove. For the right price I’d sell it. I’ve looked around and I don’t think they make the snug top for the Xtra cab anymore.

lol. Not for right now at least .

I agree 100%! :DIMG_2498.jpgHowever, the SnugTops that fit these trucks are getting much harder to find.

Back from upholstery. Re-did the bench and replaced the brittle and broken plastic interior with sound-deadening carpet. I'm happy with it.

I remember my brother and I working on his. It was the limited turbo option. We added a performance head gasket and ran 20 psi in it. Had the rims from a Supra on it. What a sleeper! That little truck was running low 11s 1/4. Them 5.0s and iron z s couldn’t believe it. Solid motor!

The 35 year old factory rear speakers were toast so I dropped a lil coin on an inexpensive set of 6” speakers since I’m only running it off the deck. MUCH Improved sound. I may look into replacing the others in the front later down the road.

I had the BR Armory wheels on my 5th Gen 4Runner and absolutely loved them. Sick looking wheels that you don't see too often. I hope you post plenty of pics after getting them on. Dammit now I'm thinking about changing out my wheels again...

Just realized I never really updated this thread. Well. I ended up completing every last bit of the truck in terms of the rare hard to find pieces. I held off for as long as I could but I couldnt pass up a deal on a paintjob that was just too good. I'm not sure if I'm gonna keep it once its done. Just for kicks I'll throw it on BAT after taking a proper shoot. If I grab the attention of the right amount of Back to the Future enthusiasts I may just have to part ways. Should be out of paint and back on the road this week. EXCITED!

Here's some progress pics since my last post.
