Hey guys, I am getting ready to put an American flag decal on my rear windows and am torn between these. Originally I was going to go with the distressed flag, but everyone seems to have them around here. The fish flag design is inspired by one of my Columbia hats, but custom made by myself with the local game fish (gulf of Mexico). What are your opinions? IMG_8353.jpgIMG_8994.jpg

None. Being a Veteran and this is just my 2 cents and I am not trying to start a fight. I was always told and INSTRUCTED never to display an American Flag from any car it is disrespectful. It’s reserved for Flag Officers and the President. I know our trucks are made from mostly American parts and made in the US, but it has a foreign name and should not be placed on a foreign car. However I will never tell anyone who is proud of their flag and country not to. PS if you buy an American Flag of any kind that was made in another country you are an A-H@le!

@Ajkkane I thought you were going to say you shouldn't alter a flag with fish.

That would be my stance and I'm not even American.

Never Ever alter an American Flag from it’s original design. That too it DISRESPECTFUL! But I will never tell anyone who does. Correct yourself and no one else. If they are proud of their altered flag I will not tell them. I just let it be.

The flag and its likeness should be treated with respect. Its image should not be cheapened or tarnished by improper use.

Yeah I’m thinking you should just get a regular old American flag. I just put those tactilian magnets on my truck and they look great. As far as not putting American flags on your truck or car. I don’t agree with that. I’m proud to be an American and I think it’s a small but great way to show your love for this great country of ours.

I thought the fish one is sweet. However im a bit of a marine biology nerd and im Canadian. Everyone has their opinions but personally if its regarding a Canadian flag i think if its intended to show pride and respect i think its great. Be proud of your roots.

Thanks for everyones opinions and I'm sorry if I offended anyone! The more I look at them, the more I like the distressed flag with fish bullet holes. They won't be huge so the fish will likely just disappear unless you are looking for them. If I have time tomorrow, I may cut them out and stick them on.

I have a different take on respecting the flag than some might have. I think it is completely acceptable to display the flag with respect in a way that doesn't alter it's original design(more or less). All these American flag designs with sports teams of whatever just seem cheap and disrespectful to me. I display the flag on my vehicle out of love and respect. My opinion is if you want a fish on your truck get a fish sticker and leave the republic out of it.

There are so many around my area with the flag window decals (mainly tundras, Tacoma’s, and 4runners) that I would opt to not do it all together. I like my vehicle to look different than most (it’s actually kinda annoyed me that two of my male neighbors went and copied me and got my same Diamondback HD cover).

That being said, the first one with local fish is unique. I like it a lot (I’m an avid fisherwoman)

Tactilian magnets look great imo. And easy to move around
