Tire rubbing front mud flap

Had a 1.75 lift leveling kit installed on my 2019 Tundra CrewMax prior to purchasing a set of Goodyear Wranglers 275/70/18. Installed on my factory 18" rims and the tires were rubbing at sharp angles. Took it back and was told the tires were barely rubbing on the skid plate and it was adjusted about a 1/4". After getting the tires I decided the tires just didn't look good on the factory rims so I purchased a set of rims. After mounting the tires the rubbing began again while turning the wheel sharply. This time the tire was rubbing on the front mud flap, verified by two different people. Being a 69 year old fart I won't be doing any mud riding, as much as I would like too, but just trying to fix a truck up like I wanted one while raising my children and couldn't afford too. I will say my children had some nice vehicles and I enjoyed their happiness. Anyway, any suggestions? Probably going to add as set of fender flares so the mud flaps will probably have to come off. Thanks for any info or suggestions.

 

Welcome, if it's barely rubbing the mud flaps or inner fender liner you can try manipulating it with a heat gun.

 

Thank you for the reply. I guess that is something a garage or shop could do? If I got down on my back I'd be like a turtle trying to get back up.

 

Also if you’re referring to the flaps on the front of the tires they come off easy. Removed mine and it doesn’t rub anymore. If your tires stick out past your body panels much I would say def get fender flares. Not only is it illegal to have the tires sticking out past fender line, it’ll preserve your paint from flying debris.
