Thanks! I just ventured out of the first gen section and saw there’s a build thread section. I’ll be doing it soon, if for no other reason than to remember everything I’ve done lol

Oh yes, they are in the engine bay. Just saying they exist, same age, same mileage, worth reviewing.

Got those in the home relaxation areas in which I’m currently basking. In truck, for doors/dome/maps assys I want bright bright bright and white white white as possible for finding stuff in the dark.

All these trucks have rot issues. The Toyota’s just get it worse from the frames design. Colorado’s have almost the same exact rot spots as the tacos.

you only see Toyota replacing frames though

That's one of my next diy projects. I saw a a leather wrap that was designed to go all the way around the steering wheel up to the airbag but I can't remember where exactly it was. Probably ebay I guess.

Ah I gotcha the nice thing is them being up out of the path of grime and much less chance for them to clog or become ineffective.

I'm trying to find an LC/LXorGX470 to get the steering wheel from. Just hoping the wood grain is a close enough match. I feel like it is but we'll see. The top of my wheel is peeling/sticky. Woodgrain won't do that :)

And yes, that misrouted cable would keep your adjusters, and your parking brakes on that side too probably, from working. There is not a lot of allowance for slack in the system. The auto adjuster is like a ratchet wrench. It has to move a certain distance to reach the next tooth and click, if it doesn't move enough it just wiggles back and forth on the same tooth. If there is slack in the system you use up most of your movement just pulling out the slack and what is left at the brake end isn't enough to move the ratchet far enough to work.

My truck came to me with a misrouted cable too, which was part of my original problem that sent me down the brake rabbit hole.

Once this bearing re-repair settles out, I’ll be dialing in on these rear drum areas.

Two of the bolts sheared off while I was driving and the rest of the lugs fell off and so there I have a tire not mounted. Got it fixed, all by myself. New drum, all new bolts and lugs, and $137 later and she’s good as new

I was looking for one that covered the entire wheel as well but gave up. If you end up coming across it please post a link. I have no problem redoing mine again. It was kinda fun and relaxing. o_O

You ever check out www.superbrightleds.com ? I just ordered new climate control LEDs in green last night. I get all my LEDs from them. Top quality and right now they're doing an 8% discount. Basically like getting free shipping

I drive an 06 SR5 and I recently pulled out the dash without the radio of an 04 limited sequoia because it has the same dimensions of the tundra but it looks nicer and tells the temperature. Before I take my tundras insides apart does anyone know of this is possible and/or Easy? I also hope to do the same thing with the steering wheels so I can have the radio controls on the steering. Thanks

The mode on the new dash is the only one that isn’t controlled by a knob

So I’m guessing I’m going to need the entire sequoia wiring harness and then some?

Never have. At this point, just about every bulb has been replaced on this truck. I’m guessing it will be another 15-20 years for the next change out? Not sure how long LEDs last, but maybe longer?

I got my Zevos from Autozoned and paid a premium as they were convenient.

    The Partshams from Big Gurrl.

The LL Sylvanias from Autozoned as again they were convenient. Pretty fair price, too.

I've used super bright, Amazon cheapies, and the Zevos. All have their quirks, the Zevo are the choice for exterior bulbs they're just plain sealed or made better. The wife's Durango has 4 PITA bulbs in the tailgate that requires disassembling the whole interior to change. 1st round was super bright, 2nd was the cheapies, 3rd was the Zevo. The first two lasted about 6 months before the chips started failing, the Zevo have been in there over a year now.
