Good evening to all of you. Purchased the Tundra Platinum 4X4 last night, and have been getting adjusted. Been scouring the search engine on this site, and have a few questions. I am amazed at the Factory accessories and the plethora of aftermarket accessories available for this machine.

I already ordered some and they will arrive this week. I would like to know about the following though:

    1) Will the Toyota tailgate electric lock work on the Platinum? Part#PK3B6-34JS0

    2) Is there an aftermarket module to allow the mirrors to fold automatically when the truck locks? And then unfold when the truck unlocks?

    3) Are the Toyota bed LED lights worth there install and price? Part#00016-34187

    That's all so far.

    Still getting acclimated.

    Thanks,
    Randy

To answer a couple of question.

    1) Yes the Toyota tailgate lock will work on all models.

    2) No affermaket module that I know of that will allow the mirrors to fold in on lock.

    3) Sorry but can't answer.

    Congratulations on the new Tundra.

That's funny. So how did you find the install on the tailgate lock? Were the bed lights worth it?

Welcome from CA. I've had my 2020 white platinum since September, and I love it. I installed the pop and lock this Saturday and it works great. I'd like to know about the folding mirrors, and I have no idea about the lights, but now I have a shell with lights inside.

Congrats on the new truck. I picked up a 2020 MGM Platinum last month and had the dealer install a few accessories, one of them being the led bed lights. I personally think they are worth it. They're very bright and function any time a door is open or they can be turned on when you flip the switch for the standard rear bed light. I can't speak to the install because I didn't do it. I knew I was going to eventually want them so I just had the dealer do it to be done with it.

My 2020 SR5 cane from the dealer (as a Gulf States Toyota TSS package) with the auto locking tailgate and the LED bed lights. I have nothing to compare to. I do like the lights a lot though. They are bright.

I've got the led bed lights, yes they are worth it. They should be standard equipment.

All three of those accessories should be standard on a Platinum..
