I have Bosch Icons and use Beadmaker on the windshield as well as the rest of the truck. I switched to Icons when I had my Jeep and they are great.

Our (yours and mine) wipers don't allow for insert replacement - we have to buy the whole blade. This is true for 2018+ if not for all 3rd gens. Not sure about the OP's 2014.

To all recommeding OEMs, are they quiet? My trucks a 19 with 1300 miles and the wipes are awfully loud. Can't wait to get something besides OEMs. I hate rainx wipers lately since they never last long. I've found the old school metal framed wipers seem to work and last but doesn't look like they fit the special connect on the 3rs gen. Why can't they just use the simple hook that has worked forever. Also what happened to just being able to replace the rubber in a wiper blade, why in the world do we need to replace the whole wiper on basically every vehicle made since the late 90s. I'm surprised the tree huggers haven't took action on All the extra plastic needed to replace a whole wiper instead of just the rubber.

My father in law and I were just discussing this yesterday. I hate the new way they connect.

I just changed from the Valeo over to the Bosch Icon and they are working great so far.

OEM or Toyota sightlines. I’ve had both. Both don’t streak nor make noises. 2+ years. I was putting new icons or Bosch or rainx’s on twice a year.

treat your windshield with “rainX” every 2 weeks if you can. Prestone yellow for the winter, green “bug wash” flavor inthe summer.

So Sightlines are different than the OEM blades?

There are 2 types. Sightlines and there’s a different type (can’t remember the name)

Rain X, orange. Best stuff I've ever found.

So sightlines are probably not what comes on the truck from factory? My factory blades are very noisy so didn't understand everyone recommending sightlines since I just assumed they were the same thing. Might have to pick up a pair of the sightlines.

I've had good luck with the OEM ones and not the Sightlines.

PIAA wipers....they are silicone. I assume they still make them. I have a set in my wife's avalon. You have to run them on a dry windshield every now and then.

I just use the $7 Goodyear ones from Costco. They last pretty long but just replace once a year anyway, 5 min and less than $15.

You will know it's time to change your wiper blades when you notice these:
    Streaking wiper blades
    Chattering wiper blades
Worn out rubber on wiper blades
    Split rubber on wiper blades

I'm going to try the Toyota Tundra OE OEM type Sightline Wiper Blade Kit $34.08
