Normally I agree with Crowder, but this is a funky one that depends entirely on the terrain you’re facing

I’m rocking the tall skinny and have to admit the truck drives just like it did stock but fills the wheel wells. A much different look to the usual wide tire but I don’t think it looks terrible. Biggest plus didn’t lose any MPGs with them 275 65 20

Tall skinny for every situation that is not bottomless mud or snow.

Every Aussie and African runs pizza cutters. They probably learned a few things over the years. Look at land rovers in Africa or Australia. Pizza cutters for days.

I ran that same tire on my 2010 for a couple years and then went wider looks good form side but front and back to skinny for my tastes. Ok, with women being skinny but I like my tires to be big girls!

Tried to install 35s and at the tire shop we test fitted them and they were so far into my front bumper there was no way I would get home. Even the 275 65 20 rubbed and I had to trim and move the plastic forward. Turns out what I did not pay attention to is my spindles push my stance wide then when you add the back spacing of my wheels on top of it I have a extremely wide turn radius. My next set will be 35's but i will most likely jump up to 6" in lift to fit them. But for now I have to admit there is more pros to tall and skinny then I originally thought

IMO nothing wider than 285s, best tire for the Tundra is 285/75/18, taller than most 35s and not too wide to cause problems with tracking on the highway or float going through big puddles.

I ran short and stout 285/60-18 tires last Summer, the shorter sidewall improved steering response, and they lowered my truck as well as my effective gear ratio. I am back to stock 255/70-18 tires for winter and I prefer the overall ride & comfort on stock size tires.

Forget pizza cutter. I need one of these. Prototype Martian Rover. The second picture is that of Arctic Tacoma. Neither of these extreme terrain vehicles have skinny wheels/tires. Just saying.
