Once I have the fuse box setup I’ve got a really nice hidden brake controller that I just have to mount a knob for. Came out of a used truck. Plug and play.

Drain and fill on the ws is easy if you have something to fill it with. Catch all that comes out and measure. Refill with same amount. Do when the fluid is cold.

Was the bearing replaced? It’s not hard to push the retainer too far and the seal won’t seal.. i did it on mine and managed to press the retainer away enough to be good.

This is how I do it on my 2002. The DEXIII fluid goes in the dipstick tube hole. So easy.

Bulldog has the 2006 DC however he wants to do his change is up to him. All I’ve seen and heard on the the DC transmissions is the need for fluid temps at proper ranges with a special service tool on the fuse box, wait for blinking lights on the dash, moon and stars aligning, and a fill pump tube in the bottle up underneath etc.

Yes. It was replaced with a SKF bearing. Kept the ABS ring thingy. Everything else was new. Drivers rear.

Brake shoes on drivers side soaked.

Seems like it needs a total redo from scratch from what I know. All new parts.

My 05 has the setup. To actually check the fluid is a little bit of a pain. But drain and fill is simple

Little tip for the guy doing it, Mark the retainer with a paint pen, install the axle and spin it a few times. If the mark wears off I a. Spot close to the middle of the retainer he’s good

My cigarette lighter doesn't work, yet the light up ring around it does and the fuse isn't blown.... weird.

They are on separate fuses. The kick panel fuse box door backside should show location of cigarette lighter illumination fuse(used for other lights also) labeled Panel 7.5 A The lighter itself is 15 A which you said you already checked, correct ?
How did you determine lighter was not working....voltage check, lighter doesn't work, item plugged in ?

Yeah, I know they're on separate fuses. I checked the CIG fuse and its fine. Haven't checked voltage at it yet. Going to pull it out and replace with a dual USB outlet. Will investigate further over the next few days.

EDIT: How I know it isn't working, a phone charger plugged into it doesn't work however moving it to the outlets on the right it works fine.

You pull ashtray and lookie behind to see if its plugged in?

Here is my vision thru the tray side. Not sure if 2003 Mr. XM installer tapped into something here. Everything works fine. Branded a few cattle in the field the other day.

Yes. They are taut. Rear spare tire snug. Nothing loose under underneath. Plastic bed liner not it as I was sitting on it during testing. Not tail gate either.

Had the driver side low beam go out on me so I changed both out today. Found out that both dust covers were old brittle and had holes so want to replace them but can only find the part numbers for 05-06 WITHOUT doublecab :/

If your rears are leaking again that means your bearings are probably not seated correctly. I think.

My same presumption which means they need to be pulled out and thrown into the bin. Fresh start! But will the mechanic know where to seat everything as there is no original equipment to measure as a baseline? I will be going into this humbly hoping the job gets subbed out to another shop that specializes in this bearing stuff.

I was thinking wheel bearing as well.

Does it make the noise on the inside wheel when turning either direction?

You have anymore of these diagrams with measurements?

I know you went through this with knuckle draggers this past year and through trial and error have a dial on it.

That's the only one I've seen. I have the bearing kit, rear shoes, and bearing tool ready. Just need a press and some courage to dig in again.
