Gotcha. Mine came factory but I guess the dealer installed remote worked with mine so that makes sense.

Well I been trying to sell em along with my old front bumper for $50 and haven't had any serious inquirers. So just the fogs maybe $25? And that would include 2 sets of bulbs. One stock one yellow and yellow Lamin-X covers

Really? I’ll need to check this section as I did not know it even existed. This will give me something to do today to better understand the direction of our society.

Looks like once I finish up my second cup of Italian Dark Roast (black like I like my women), I’ll go out and start playing with the new impact. First on the list for removal are the front tow hooks. Clean them up and Ospho them. Probs paint them tomorrow once the Ospho dries. What color you guys think? Black or Red to match the trim accent?

I wondered that too, then realized the bed & tailgate have bedliner sprayed on them. I'll guess the access panel doesn't open any more.

I'm sure it depends on the shop but the access panel on mine was removed and sprayed separately.

I did run the wire through the tailgate, but I couldn’t get it to go straight down the middle, so I had it come out the bottom on the drivers side, and ran it to the hole in the center. The clips came with my camera, I bought a Pioneer NDBC8 camera to go with my head unit.

I had access to the inside of the tailgate, but the support brace inside prevented me from running the wire straight down. I’ll post a pic of the inside of the tailgate later.

New impact wrench made light work of the tow hooks removal. Cleaned them up, grease rubbed them, and reinstalled. Passed on the painting. Went ahead and did a practice run on breaking the steering rack bolts. The d-ring bracket side bolts were very seized up (compared to the tow hooks), but finally broke loose. Snugged them back up for another day when there is enough time to install the steering rack bushings.

I've always wondered about this. what constitutes hot for the transmission? after driving on the highway, my engine will be fully warm, but transmission temps will only be around 100F due to cold and the TC being locked up. Is that "Warm" enough?

I did that too. Here is a pic with engine running and hot. I drove it some and then parked it. Ran it through the gears R,D,2, and L. Put it in park and here is what the dipstick looked like after idle for 5 minutes. Truck is on level ground. Checked it multiple times same result.

Hot would be operating temp. About the same as the engine coolant. 180ish.

    Cold under 100
