What's up everyone! I'm new to the community. I recently got a 17 Cement Tundra TRD Pro absolutely love it. I'm coming from a 13 Evo x so big change kinda.

Only 2 things I'm not so amazed at about the truck are the Headlights, cause you would think HID would come with this truck or any tundra. My second little complaint is when I go over a bump or so I hear something rattle in the bed area but nothing is lost so Oh well

I'm really looking forward to turning this truck into an exploration/off road warrior of a truck! So if there is any advice or mods yall can suggest just point me in the right direction or I can always search!IMG_1578.jpg

    Welcome from TN!!

    Love the truck!!

As for mods, a 3/1 level or higher lift, beefier tires, and new off-road wheels (rims) are a must for exploration vehicles!!!

Other mods that would definitely be a plus are led bar lights, auxiliary backup lights, roof rack, bed cap you can modify (one guy on here has a BADASS one he modified to open the windows and have compartments with a wall to strap supplies on. Forget who though, just go through the build pages)

    Welcome!
Not sure on the rattle. Can it be loose bed liner bolt or something? Is it interior or exterior? Any video?

Thank you guys! I appreciate it! I'll get better pics cause that one is a tad goofy. But I'm going on a deployment here in April and when I come back I plan on getting a few things for it! I need to look into wheel/tire specs for what I can fit with a small lift. I originally wanted a 6in from ready lift but that seems a bit over kill

As for that I'm not sure. It does have that spray in bed liner. I checked the tie down and they are all tight. It sounds exterior. Kinda where the cab meets the bed

Welcome. Texas and Air Force... two attributes we share! Make sure you have a spare underneath the bed and that the take-up cable is not loose.

Welcome! Great looking truck man. Not sure on the rattle but check out some of @eledobleu work. He does headlight retrofitting and does a crazy good job. It's and option for you down the road...

Hell man, you bought a PRO. Just put shims, shackles, and some aftermarket wheels on and you should be able to run 295/70-18s or 35s without issue.

Also, welcome from eastern CO and thank you for your service!

That a mighty Purdy truck you have there.

    Salutations from San Antonio, Texas.
I bet your EVO did not rattle. You have a pick-up truck, your truck bed moves differently from the cabin. Your bound to hear things you haven't heard before. Really.

Awesome truck, congrats on the purchase. You can always retrofit the headlights to get that high quality HID setup.

I'm sure you will figure out the squeeking.

Welcome, and great looking truck. Also thanks for your service. I have also noticed a rattle when I hit a bump with my truck and it has turned out to be the hitch in the receiver.

And for your rattle sound are you sure it come from the bed?

Mine have a rattle sound and come from the TRD Pro Grill, open your hood and check that, also my Tacoma had a rattle and I just tightened the spare tire and this solved the rattle

Jealous.. Love the Pros! Couldn't find one anywhere when I went to buy mine, or if I did it turned into a bidding war so I opted for the SR5. Excited to see what you do with your new truck, congratulations

Welcome!, I had some rattling as well. I was reading up on it and it seems to be the leaf spring. Some people were recommending to spray the left spring with lubricant or put a bit of oil . However, I jumped up and down several time on the bed and the sound went away. It's worth a shoot. Nice truck you got there.

Oh no i don't want to change the suspension, ready lift has a kit that keeps the stock suspension I believe
