Just picked up an Optima yellow top to replace my factory battery that seems to be dead now after less than 13,000 miles. I was wondering why my remote start wasn't working this morning and when I went out to start it up on my own it just went click. Luckily I at least found a coupon for Advance Auto that saved me $50.

$706.50 to renew my tabs today
    :spending:
$521 of that was for the Regional Transit Authority (RTA) tax which funds mass transit (new light rail, along with new commuter rail and bus lines) in Pierce, King, and Snohomish counties (I voted against this in 2017 but it passed).

But also found out that if your truck is more than 6k lbs you're exempt from the RTA tax. Pretty sure with my wheels, tires, DB cover that I'm going to be over that.
Time to find a scale. Anyone know where you can get your truck weighed?

If you figure that out, PLEASE let me know! Also voted against...not anti-transit-minded, anti-debacle-minded.

I'm pretty sure any weigh station (if it's not busy) will let you weigh your vehicle. I think landfills have large scales as well but don't quote me on that. I looked into this a while back but never did it.

This pic was taken not today, therefore it is not really the right place to post it, but...
Today I decided about the final color scheme to be applied, at least :)

I will be posting pics about how this project evolves in my build tread, once I manage to find it back IMG-20191128-WA0003.jpg

Gotta be exciting for you. I'd be a nervous wreck.

That pic of the parts in the bed.... reminds me of the scene in Saving Private Ryan where the poor guy missing his arm picks it up and goes walking off. :(

I jumped in head first with my Tacoma too. But I needed something bigger. I dont plan to go all out with overlanding like I did before but I am very excited that I was able to convince my wife to allow the supercharger.

Wow. I guess that's the way to do it. I'd go with husky liners for floor mats.

I'm not opposed to huskey liners but I loved the Weathertechs that I had in my Tacoma and my wife's GX460.

Edit: auto correct is going crazy haha

That Supercharger almost makes up for the baby batter color choice. Almost. :boink::stirthepot:

I believe that the "OEM" flares are bushwacker, so you might be able to get them to do it while they are doing the SC.
As far as the mat, I don't have personal experience, but it's a pretty solid consensus that the Husky liners are better in the Tundra than the Weathertech. YMMV

I don't know anyone that approved that initiative a few years ago, yet it passed easily. Funny how that works.

I hit the truck scales all the time when I'm towing a trailer. No problems. If you're in Seattle, there's one down in Federal Way (headed N on I-5) and Everett (headed S on I-5).

The bigger questions are 1) Will the weight station they give you a weight/scale ticket and 2) Will the DMV accept the ticket. They may only be authorized to use what the OEMs give them.

Dang, looking at previous threads with @InTheRough getting a supercharger installed, nice. All I did was painted my front brake calipers today, maybe I can afford a supercharger one day...
