I do the same thing with the burn. Those dry trees are like napalm, love it

We really class up the place with our tree.

I can’t post some of the ornaments on here....

We have a fake tree. Made the switch when we got dogs but they never payed any attention to it so I will probably go back to a real tree when my daughter is old enough to go with me to cut one down.

I prefer a real tree. But they charge the shit out of us out here. When things were tight we used to throw up moms old fake tree. One year I decided to buy a cashmere tree with LED lighting. It’s already paid for itself in the three years I’ve been using it. And it looks pretty bad ass. I miss the smell of a real tree but it bothers my wife’s allergies and asthma.

Sidenote: I’ve known my wife for 24 years but we got together about 11 years ago. She was a single mother and couldn’t afford a Christmas tree. The one thing she said that sealed the deal for her was I told her that a kid can’t go without a Christmas tree. I went and bought a really nice tree. Then I handed her a wad of cash and said go spoil that kid this year. This six-year-old wasn’t going to be handed the short end of the stick anymore. Her bio donor is pretty much useless.

so I say if you can do it, get a real tree at least a few times. I have fond memories of a real tree as a kid. I made sure to make some new ones with my kid. Around here you’re going to spend between 50 and $100 on a skimpy little tree. I felt it was worth it but now that my daughter is older, it’s more about the ambience in the house. So my cashmere tree does the trick.

We just bought a new robust prelit from Costco. Fake costs less than real over time but I really miss the smell and aura (not so much the cleanup). As soon as you walk in a home with a real tree, the aroma stirs warm emotions a fake can’t.

We just got a fake one. Mostly pe. Look real and don’t have to worry about possible mold or other irritants. Last couple years I got a bad cough for having a real one. Probably because my wife gets one Dec 1st lol

    ha! That’s awesome! :D

Much better than the brown tree water all over my floor this morning. We brought it in the house last night but didn’t finish leveling and setting up. I went to get in the cabinet behind the tree this morning and the damn thing fell over. :censored:

I managed to swap out the stand I broke yesterday morning and got the tree up. The kids want to help decorate tomorrow night, so I’m sure some Hot Chocolate with Home Alone is in the works.

@dv8TRDPRO - there’s some Bulleit 95 Rye in that there double insulated stainless mug :D;)

Real tree here, when you live in the desert the smell of a real tree is overwhelmingly amazing every time you walk in the house. 7 foot noble fir this year. Kiddos and I decorated today while my wife's working the night shift.

I’d still do a tree I think! Probably just a small real one. :D Haven’t been there yet (yet?) LOL so can’t say exactly. :D
